"If I were Sara, I'd be furious!"
At Bryntirion, Diane is doing the washing-up, and DJ comments that if he were Sara, he would be furious;  Diane maintains that it is not all his fault, but he cannot understand how she works that out.   She remarks that he does not know everything.
"That cat was screaming all night!"
Dai comes in, complaining that he did not sleep a wink last night;  “That stray cat outside was screaming all night!   If you didn’t hear anything, your ears need syringing –
"It was like a West End musical!"
“it was like a West End musical!”   When Jason comes in through the back door, Dai continues, “There’s no room to swing a cat in here – what are all these boxes?”
"I'll take them upstairs, Dai!"
Jason says he will move them now, and there still are some things to collect from Gwyneth’s house;  “I’ll take them straight upstairs, out of everyone’s way, OK?”   DJ suggests that Jason could come and help in Awyr Iach, but Jason walks away.   Dai’s only concern is that he gets a cup of tea.
Eileen treats the wedding cake with alcohol
At Penrhewl, Eileen is infusing the wedding cake with alcohol, when Sioned says she intends to do the dishes,
"You might have a funny turn"
but she is urged not to do that in case she has a funny turn.   “I feel fine, Mam!” Sioned protests, and goes to her room;
"I'm allowed to go to my room, I hope!"
“I’m allowed to go there, I hope!”
She meets Jim, who is coming in
She bumps into Jim, who is coming in with Gerwyn.
A new exhaust has been fitted to the tractor
Eileen asks if the tractor is sorted, and he replies that it just needed a new exhaust;  she goes to check on Sioned.
"Parents never stop worrying"
Jim looks down at baby Huwi, and comments that parents never stop worrying.
"Not if you've got girls"
“Not if you’ve got girls,” sighs Gerwyn, “Guto is no trouble at all – but Tesni!”
Jim remembers the teenage years, and Gerwyn goes on, “There’s always some boy sniffing about –
"Ricky got some girl pregnant!"
“Ricky seemed innocent enough, until I found out he got some girl pregnant!   And where is she now?   He didn’t stick with her, did he?”
"That was my daughter, Courtney"
Jim solemnly informs him, “She was my daughter, Courtney – she and the baby were killed in a car accident . . . almost three years ago.”
"Sorry, Jim, I had no idea"
Gerwyn realises he has put his foot in it, and is very sorry, as he had no idea.
"She would be very lucky to have a boyfriend like Ricky"
“Tesni would be very lucky to have a boyfriend like Ricky,” insists Jim.
"About the other night, at your house . . ."
Tesni is walking past the café, and Ricky remarks he has not seen her for a while;  “I wanted to ask you something about the other night in your house – your father,
". . . he just flipped!"
“I don’t quite understand!”   She replies that no-one understands her Dad, but Ricky continues, “He was fine to start with – we were getting on great – then he just flipped!”   She tells him not to take any notice and walks on.
"Sorry, I'm meeting a friend"
He asks if she is free later, but she says she is meeting a friend, which he finds rather disappointing.
Sara does not want to talk
As DJ comes out of Awyr Iach, he meets Sara, who does not want to talk at the moment;
Jason sits forlornly
when she lets herself into number 9, she finds Jason there, looking lost.
"I thought you would be at work"
She says that she thought he would be at work and has just come back to get a few things.
"What's all this stuff?"
She wonders what all these strange objects are in the house;  “Didn’t you get my messages?” he asks, but she has not listened to them, because she wanted some peace.
"Gwyneth's moved back in"
“Gwyneth’s moved back in – she doesn’t want to rent the house out to us any more.”
"She can't do that!"
“She can’t do that – we’ve got rights!” Sara exclaims, but he says he has already agreed, and that is why he wanted to talk to her.
"We can't afford to pay rent any more"
He thought this was the only option, as they cannot afford to pay rent any more.
"So Ifan and I haven't got a home now"
She snaps, “So Ifan and I haven’t got a home now.   Great – thanks, Jase!”
He explains, “Mam has already said we can stay with her, and she has offered to help you with Ifan and things,
"So that we can . . . work things out"
“so that we can . . . work things out.”
"You have no idea, have you?"
She immediately picks up her bags and heads for the door, snarling, “You have no idea, have you?”
Jason is left alone with his teddy bear
He is left in the house alone, cuddling a teddy bear.
"I've never heard such nonsense!"
Out in the street, Dai gives his verdict on Debbie’s new venture;  “Male Pampering!   I’ve never heard such nonsense!   Honestly, look at the state of him!”
Not a flattering photo of Mark
He points to one of the posters, featuring Mark;
"What's that – the Donald Trump look?"
“Look at him!   What’s that – the Donald Trump look?”   Debbie enlightens him that it is Mark’s natural hair colour.
"There's nothing wrong with looking after yourself!"
Mathew is nearby, measuring up some timber, and considers that it is a good idea;  “There’s nothing wrong with looking after yourself!”   Debbie would not expect a dinosaur like Dai to keep up with fashion trends.
"I don't need fake things like pedicures!"
He does not like being described in that way;  “Look here, good girl, I don’t need fake things like pedicures!”   Mathew says he will distribute some of the leaflets to the boys in the gym.
"There's nothing wrong with men going to salons, is there?"
Tesni happens to be passing, and Debbie asks her, “You don’t see anything wrong with men going to salons, do you?”   Her reply is that she likes a man who looks after himself.   Matthew wonders if she fancies meeting up later,
Tesni looks quite amenable to a meeting . . .
and she seems quite eager;
. . . while Ricky looks on, anxiously
across the road, Ricky is watching from inside the café, and looking rather dispirited.
"Doing his ironing as well now, are you?"
Diane is doing the ironing when there is a knock at the back door;  she finds that it is Sara, who comments, “You’re doing his ironing now as well, are you?   I called at the house just now, to find out we haven’t got a home any more.”
"It was not Jason's fault"
Diane replies that it was not Jason’s fault, as Gwyneth wanted the house back;  “He did nothing to stop her,” Sara points out, but is told that he was in no state to do anything.
"He thought you were never coming back"
“He thought you were never coming back!” Diane says, but Sara advises she is only back to pick up Ifan’s stuff.   “How can you be so hard after what happened last week?” her mother-in-law demands, “Didn’t you get my messages?
"He didn't want me to tell you"
“Jason didn’t want me to tell you, but I felt I had to.”
"He was in bits after you left"
Diane goes to sit down, and continues, “He was in bits after you left – he thought he had let you down.”
"Yes, well, he had certainly done that"
Sara agrees with that evaluation.
"He intended to kill himself!"
“He considered . . . he intended, to kill himself!”
Sara cannot believe it
Sara is dumbfounded.
Sioned wants to meet Mathew . . .
Sioned phones Mathew, wondering if he is free to come over to the farm, but understands that he has to work.
. . . and will see him in the Deri later
He can meet her in the Deri later;  she says she does not want to be a gooseberry.
She finds a notepad . . .
She finds a notepad in a drawer
. . . leaves a message on the table . . .
and leaves a message, “Going to the village.”
. . . and hobbles out of Penrhewl
Taking her crutches, she leaves the farm.
"There were three letters and a life insurance policy"
Diane is still explaining to Sara, “There were three letters on the table – one for you, one for Ifan and one for me.   And a life insurance policy – he was in a hell of a state.   He wanted to kill himself, so that you and Ifan could have the insurance money –
"I managed to persuade him it wasn't the answer"
“but somehow, I managed to persuade him it wasn’t the answer.”
"I said some terrible things to him!"
Sara admits that she has said some terrible things to him, and at that moment they hear the door.
"I understand you don't want to talk"
Jason has returned, and understands if Sara does not want to talk,
Sara throws her arms around him
but she gets up and throws her arms around him, saying that she is so sorry.
"Promise me you'll never do anything like that again!"
“Promise me you’ll never do anything like that again!” she wails.
Dai is looking for peace in the salon
Mathew is making some repairs to the skirting board in the salon when Dai appears;  as Debbie is out, he welcomes the chance of a bit of peace.
He soon nods off
He settles down in a chair and asks Mathew to make him a cup of tea;  “I didn’t get a wink of sleep last night – the cats were making a noise all night!”   It is not long before he drops off to sleep.
"Everyone needs to earn a living"
Mathew looks at one of the leaflets and comments that everyone needs to earn a living, then asks Dai when Jason will be back in work, as with him away and Jim busy with Pwll Bach, he does not get much time to himself.
"Two sugars or three, Dai?"
“Two sugars or three?” he enquires, but finds that Dai is fast asleep.
"Let's take a photo of him!"
Debbie returns, and is outraged to see Dai snoring in the chair;  Mathew suggests taking a photo of him,
She simulates massaging his head
so she drapes a cloth around him and pretends to be massaging his head.
"I'm sorry for some of the things I said"
Sara, in apologetic mood, says, “I’m sorry for some of the things I said to you.   I thought the worst thing that could happen was losing the house and the savings – but, Jase, losing you as well . . . I was too hard on you!”
"I'm the one who let you and Ifan down!"
He makes it quite clear that he is responsible for this;  “I’m the one who let you and Ifan down!   And you would have been better off without me.”   She urges him never to say that again,
"I wasn't even enough of a man to do it properly!"
but he groans, “I wasn’t even enough of a man to do it properly!”
"Sioned, are you there?"
Eileen comes back into the farm kitchen to find Sioned gone,
Then she sees the note . . .
and a note on the table;
. . . and immediately summons Jim
she grabs her phone and contacts Jim, instructing him to come back into the house now.
Eileen is very worried
“I’m worried that something’s happened to Sioned – come quickly!”
"I didn't order that, Ricky"
In the café, Ricky presents Tesni with a doughnut, but she protests she did not order it;  “I know you’re busy today, but what about tomorrow?” he asks.
"You're a really good friend, but . . ."
“Ricky, you’re a really good friend, but I don’t want to mess you around,” she replies,
"You and Mathew are together"
and he concludes that she and Mathew are together;  she is really sorry, and as her father comes in, urges him not to tell anyone.
Tesni ignores her father
She walks out, ignoring her father.
"About the other night – I want to apologise"
Gerwyn orders a black coffee, and whatever Ricky wants;  “Listen, about the other night – I want to apologise.   I behaved badly towards you, and I’m really sorry –
"I'm very sorry about Courtney, too"
“I’m very sorry about Courtney too.   Tes said something about her and I misunderstood, but Jim explained things – he thinks a lot of you.”
"What did Tesni say?"
Ricky wants to know what Tesni said, but Gerwyn tells him, “Any time you want to call in to see Guto or whatever, you’re always welcome at number 10.”   Ricky looks disturbed by this.
"Don't stay because you feel sorry for me"
Jason implores Sara, “I don’t want you to stay with me because you feel sorry for me.   I didn’t want you to find out about this at all.”
"We will get through this"
She is glad that she knows, and assures him that they will get through this.
"We don't have a penny!"
“Do you really believe that, Sara?   We don’t have a penny!” he wails,
"I still love you, and want you with me"
but she replies that it does not matter, because she still loves him;  she and Ifan want him here with them,
They embrace
and she hugs him.
In the Deri . . .
Sioned has safely reached the Deri, and with Tesni,
. . . the photo is quite a talking point
is amused by the photo of Dai on Mathew’s phone;
"Next time, don't bring Courtney into it!"
Ricky comes across and angrily tells Tesni, “Next time you want to get rid of me, don’t bring Courtney into it!”   Then he immediately walks away, as she says she is sorry and that it just came out;
Tesni is upset
she feels terrible.
"What were you thinking, Sioned?"
Jim and Eileen have come in, with Huwi, and demand, “Sioned, what were you thinking, coming down to the village on your own?   Anything could have happened.   We almost lost you a month ago!”
"I'm perfectly all right, Mam!"
Sioned protests that she is perfectly all right, and only walked to the village.
Eileen remarks to Tesni that she must think they are all bonkers,
"Come to your big sister, Huwi"
and Jim goes to get some drinks, while Sioned takes charge of the baby.
"How peaceful you look, Dai!"
At Bryntirion, Sara is also looking at the photo of Dai, and remarking how peaceful he looks;  “You wait until I get hold of Debbie Collins – I’ll sue her!” he rages,

"It was only a joke"
but Diane points out it was only a joke.
"You haven't forgiven him, have you?"
DJ returns home, looks at Sara and demands, “You haven’t forgiven him, have you?   Can’t we talk straight now?
"He destroyed everything for Sara"
“He destroyed everything for Sara.”   Dai stresses that there are no sides to take here, and Diane is determined that they must move on.
“Move on?” exclaims DJ, “He took out a credit card in my name!”
"It will never happen again"
Jason replies that he paid it all back, and he is sorry;  he knows that it does not make everything right, but is going to make sure that nothing like this ever happens again.
"Please, DJ, for me . . ."
Sara explains, “Jason doesn’t deny that he has made mistakes, but he’s apologised – so please, DJ, for me . . .”
“You’d have a house if it wasn’t for him!” DJ roars,
"Going on will not sort anything out, will it?"
but Dai reminds him that going on and on about it will not sort anything out.
“Jason is family, and from now on we’re all going to support him – OK?” he says.
"Dai Sgaffalde being pampered!"
In the Deri, Jim comments, “Dai Sgaffalde, enjoying being pampered – you should frame that.”
"I didn't know about Courtney, I'm very sorry"
Then Gerwyn, looking rather solemn, comes across and apologises again, as he did not know about Courtney, and is very sorry.
"I'm sure I would have reacted the same way"
Jim is sure he would reacted in the same way, if he had been in Gerwyn’s shoes.
Jim compliments Mathew on the photo,
Gerwyn has his eye on Mathew . . .
and Gerwyn looks at him suspiciously.
. . . as he rejoins Tesni
Mathew returns to sit by Tesni, and Debbie warns her father to keep an eye on him;
"He broke Vicky's heart with that Dani business"
she elaborates, “He broke our Vicky’s heart with that Dani business.   Oh, you didn’t know – Garry thought Mathew was Seren’s father at one time – he almost killed him!”
Gerwyn flies off the handle again
This sets Gerwyn off again;  he goes over to where Tesni is sitting and brusquely announces, “We’re going home!
"You're not staying here with him!"
“You’re not staying here with him – shut up and go home now!   Get a move on!”
"Why did you have to open your big mouth?"
Jim asks Debbie why she had to open her big mouth, but she replies, “He has a right to know what kind of bloke Mathew is.”
"You're so embarrassing!"
As she arrives home at number 10, Tesni shouts at her father, “You’re so embarrassing!”
"He almost wrecked Garry's and Dani's marriage!"
He points out to her that Mathew almost wrecked Garry’s and Dani’s marriage, but she protests, “It was only a one night stand, and no big deal!”
"This one's no different to the other one, is he?"
Gerwyn replies, “That’s not what I heard – he cheated on his girlfriend, Dani was pregnant, and Garry thought Mathew was the baby’s father.   See, this one’s no different to the other one, is he?
"When are you going to learn?"
“When are you going to learn?”
