"Ive been waiting for you in the café"
It has been raining overnight as Diane walks along the street and leaves a message for Jason, “I’ve been waiting for you in the café.”
The door has been left open
When she reaches the door of number 9, she is surprised to find that it is open, and she goes inside.
"Jason, are you there?"
She calls, but there is no answer,
She finds his soaking wet coat . . .
then picks up Jason’s soaking wet coat from the floor;  following the wet footprints into the kitchen,
. . . and Jason, huddled in a corner
she discovers Jason, crouching on the floor.
Garry replenishes the Britvic
In the Deri, Garry is restocking the bottles of Britvic when Colin arrives
"Aaron wants his phone back"
saying that Aaron wants his phone back;  Garry answers that he is not having it.   Colin argues, “He’s leaving for Llangrannog now – maybe he’ll be homesick.
"He texted 'Ben' last night"
Garry informs him, “‘Aaron’ texted Ben last night, saying he’s mitching today and wants to meet up.”
"He's going to Llangrannog, Garry"
Colin points out that he is going to Llangrannog,
"And 'Ben' has agreed to meet him"
but Garry continues, “Ben has agreed to meet him.”
He then sends another text, “Are are you still coming today?”
Colin finally gets the message
and Colin finally gets the message that he is pretending to be Aaron.   “I think it’s time that we talked to this ‘Ben’!   All we’re doing is sussing him out,” Garry advises.
A reply quickly arrives, saying that he wants to meet up somewhere quiet and out of the way;
"Are you coming with me, or what?"
“Are you coming with me, or what?” Garry asks, and Colin agrees that he will.
“But I have to go and say goodbye to Aaron – tell him not to eat too many midnight feasts, and I’ll say I couldn’t find you.”
"Looking forward to it, m8!"
Garry receives another text on the phone, “Looking forward, m8,” and he looks concerned.
"Say something – you're soaking!"
Diane pleads with Jason, “Say something – you’re soaking – what have you been doing?”   She removes a bottle from him and realises he has been drinking.
"Sara and Ifan would have been all right  – but I couldn't do it!
“Pathetic!” he snarls, “I can’t do anything right, can I?   £93,000 – Sara and Ifan would have been all right – but no, I couldn’t do it!”
"You'll die of pneumonia!"
His mother tells him that he is drunk and should get up from there.   “Look at yourself – you need to sort yourself out.   Well, you can’t sit there all day or you’ll die of pneumonia!”
She looks at the envelopes and insurance policy . . .
She opens the curtains, and sees what is on the table – the three envelopes and the life insurance policy.
. . . and realises what he intended to do
She now appreciates what he had intended to do.
Garry and Colin 'stake out' the bridge
Colin and Garry wait near the appointed place, which appears to be a bridge over a disused railway line which has been converted to a cyclepath.   Colin sees a young lad walking along, and asks if he is Ben;
"No – weirdo!"
the answer is, “No – weirdo!” and he walks on.
"He'll be here – trust me"
Garry is confident, “He’ll be here – trust me,” but Colin is not so sure.
"It would have been a solution"
Diane is looking at the life insurance policy as Jason tells her, “It would have been a solution.”
"It would leave Ifan without a father"
His mother points out that it would not, as it would leave Ifan growing up without a father;
“Ifan deserves better than me – the mess I’ve made of everything!” Jason emphasises.
"Sara's left me!"
Diane assures him that whatever has happened, they can sort it out, but he demands, “How?   Sara’s left me!   I lied last night!”   Diane now realises that last night he was saying goodbye to her.
"I'm nothing without them!"
He sobs, “I’m nothing without them!”
"I know things look bleak at the moment"
She tells him that things look bleak at the moment, but Sara and Ifan need him – and she needs him;
"I want things to go back to how they were"
he cries on her shoulder, “I don’t want to die, I want things to go back to how they were.”
"Everything will be all right, Jason"
She tries to convince him that everything will be all right;
"Change out of those wet clothes"
“Why don’t you change out of those wet clothes?
He goes upstairs for a shower
“Go and have a shower.”
Debbie's fake certificate
Debbie is putting her counterfeit certificate on the wall of the salon, and a camera is set up on a tripod.
"Tesni's photos are very good"
Debbie has seen some of Tesni’s photos on Instagram, which are very good, and has asked her to help.
"It's only a hobby"
Tesni protests that it is just a hobby, but then Debbie receives a text from Rhys, saying that he is not available.
"What are we going to do now?"
“What are we going to do now?” wonders Debbie,
"How about Mathew?"
and Tesni suggests Mathew, but this is overruled, as is Ricky.
"It's cold out today!"
Megan comes in, remarking on how cold it is outside today.
"What can we do for you?   A Brazilian?"
Mark asks what they can do for her;  “A Brazilian?” he jokes.   She says that she might as well as he is offering, and has had them before;  in fact she loves them.
"Nuts are good for you, aren't they?"
Tesni finds this exchange very amusing.   Megan continues, “Nuts are good for you, aren’t they?” and now Mark has cottoned on to what she means,
"We're out of nuts at the moment"
but regrets that they are out of nuts at the moment.   Megan actually wants a trim as usual next Monday.
"You'll have to do the modelling!"

Debbie comes in from the back room and announces that Mark will have to do the modelling, as she exhibits a very small pair of briefs.
He is quite adamant;  “I’m not wearing budgie smugglers – and I definitely don’t want to be on a poster wearing them!”
They try to stifle their laughter
Now both Tesni and Megan are amused.
Diane looks at the envelope addressed to her
Diane takes the envelope bearing her name from the table,
"Come over here straightaway!"
and after studying it makes a phone call to Dai, telling him to come over there straightaway;  “Close the shop – something has happened – come as quickly as you can!”
The envelopes go into the bin
She picks up all three envelopes and disposes of them in the kitchen bin.
"Jason – are you all right?"
Then, worried, as she can hear no sound from upstairs, she shouts to Jason;  he replies that he will be coming down shortly.   There is a rattling at the door, and she opens it to Dai.
"What's happened?   Has anyone died?"
He demands, “What’s happened?   Has anyone died?   We’ve got customers, you know!   They keep us going – you understand that, don’t you?”
She informs him that Jason needs their help,
"It's time he sorted himself out!"
but he launches into another tirade;  “It’s time he sorted himself out – he’s not a child any more!”   She explains that he has tried sorting himself out, and Dai demands, “What’s he done now?”
"He tried to take his own life last night!"
“He tried to take his own life last night,” she replies, “He couldn’t take any more.”   Dai wants to know where he is, and is told that he is upstairs.
"Wait until I get hold of him!"
“Wait until I get hold of him – he’s a coward – it’s time he stopped feeling sorry for himself and upsetting you like this!”
"He's had a breakdown!"
“You don’t understand – he’s had a breakdown!” Diane sobs.
"I've got a funny feeling about this 'Ben'"
Garry and Colin are still waiting, and Garry says that he has a funny feeling about this ‘Ben’;  “That he isn’t a boy!”
"He must be a boy"
Colin insists that of course he must be, and that Aaron has been talking to him for ages on the console.
"Nobody's seen this 'Ben'!"
“Nobody’s seen this ‘Ben’ – nobody’s heard his voice or met him,”  Garry goes on, “Something’s not right – I think he’s an adult!”
Then someone arrives . . .
Just at that moment, another text arrives, advising them that he is on his way;  they look across and see someone approaching the seat under the bridge –
. . . it is none other than Neville . . .
it is none other than Neville,
. . . with four cans of Scrumpy Jack
this time carrying four cans of Scrumpy Jack.
As they look incredulously, they see he is looking at his phone, which suddenly sounds and surprises him;
He dismisses the call from Aaron's phone
he sees that it is Aaron phoning, and dismisses the call.
"That doesn't prove anything"
Colin maintains that it does not prove anything,
Garry makes another call
so Garry tries again, and Neville looks very uncomfortable;  Garry strides off towards him, shouting, “Ben!”   Neville looks up and is told, “You’ve been texting me this morning, not Aaron!”
"I haven't done anything!"
He says that he has done nothing to Aaron, but is asked why he texted him;  Colin demands why he is pretending to be ‘Ben’,
He is grabbed by Garry
and Garry grabs him, pinning him against the wall of the bridge
"Why meet him here?"
and demanding, “Why meet him here?   I want to hear you say it – scum!
"That's what you are – scum!"
“That’s what you are – scum!”
Colin is about to phone the police, but Neville knees Garry in the groin, causing him to double up with pain,
Neville runs away . . .
and runs off along the cycle track,
. . . with Colin in hot pursuit
with Colin in hot pursuit.
"Mam's told you everything, has she?"
At number 9, Jason comes downstairs;  “Mam has told you everything, has she?” and he sits down.
"Remember I lost a daughter, Martha, years ago?"
Dai has become much calmer, and begins, “Do you remember that I lost a daughter, Martha, years ago?   It was the worst thing that ever happened to me – it still haunts me, nearly every day.   Something like that never leaves you.
Dai seems unusually understanding
“A parent can never forget losing a child!”
"I'm sorry, Mam!"
Jason begs for his mother’s forgiveness, maintaining that he did not know what else to do.   She insists that there is no need to say sorry;  “You’re still here – and that’s what matters, love.”
"We are going to take care of you"
Dai agrees with her, pointing out, “There’s no need to worry – we are going to take care of you.   We’ll sort out everything together.   The first thing that you need to do is pack a bag –
"You're going to stay with us for a while"
“you’re going to stay with us for a while.”
Colin is still on his tail . . .
The chase has continued into the centre of Cwmderi, but as Neville finds his way blocked by some green bins,
. . . and gives him a good kicking
he stumbles to the ground, and is given a good kicking by Colin,
Then he continues, using a brick . . .
who then finds a conveniently located brick lying around, and wallops Neville with it.
Megan hears the commotion, and walks down the alley to investigate;
. . . until Megan's shouts stop him
as Colin raises the brick, she screams, “Colin!   Stop that!   Don’t!” and runs for help.   Meanwhile, Garry limps on to the scene and orders Colin to stop, demanding what he thinks he is doing.
Colin and Garry run away . . .
The two of them run off in one direction,
. . . and Neville staggers away
and Neville staggers away in the other.
There is now nothing for Mark to see
Megan has found Mark in the salon and he accompanies her towards the scene of the altercation;  “I’ve never seen anything like it!” she exclaims.   However, when they get to the back street, there is no sign of the combatants, and Mark is doubtful about Megan’s account.
"I'm still in my right mind!"
“I know I’m older than you, but I’m still in my right mind!” she insists.
"That wasn't meant to happen, Col!"
Garry has dragged Colin to the garage, stressing that was not meant to happen;  “I told you to chase him – not hit him with a brick!”
"I lost it, Garry!"
 Colin confesses that he lost it, and is in a panic;
A stiff drink to calm the nerves
Garry pours him a drink to calm his nerves.
“I don’t know if he’ll be all right – I hit him with a brick!” Colin shouts,
Then they hear the sound of a siren
but Gary replies that he deserved it.   They hear the sound of a police siren in the distance,
"I'm going to be arrested!"
and Colin predicts that he is going to be arrested.
"Say nothing and deny everything!"
He is advised to say nothing and deny everything;  “Neville won’t go to the police – because he knows what he intended to do to Aaron!
"Behave as if nothing's happened!"
“Now go home, and behave as if nothing happened – Megan won’t say anything.”
Colin maintains this is all Garry’s fault, but he is instructed that he is going home now.
Megan is talking to the police
Outside the salon, Megan is describing to two police officers what she saw,
"Keep calm and go home"
but Garry is still insistent that Colin should keep calm and go home;  “You have to, for the sake of your family.”
Megan sees Colin coming
Colin, on the other hand, decides he has to do what is right;  he walks towards the police officers, as Mark is admitting that he did not see anything.
"It's me you want – Colin Evans"
“It’s me you want – Colin Evans – I attacked that bloke,” Colin tells them,
"You are not obliged to say anything . . ."
and one of the officers arrests and cautions him.
Villagers watch incredulously . . .
He is put into the police car, as Garry watches, as well as many other villagers;
. . . as Colin is driven away
the car is driven away, with Colin, looking hopeless, in the back seat.
