Hywel's car arrives back in Cwmderi |
Iolo is just leaving the house |
"Hiya, Iolo!" |
"I thought your mother and Hywel were away until tomorrow!" |
The constabulary have arrived in the village, again |
"I'm going to text Iolo" |
"The police are here – to charge him!" |
"I'll go with you, Ty!" |
Tyler leaves, under escort |
Tyler is led to the police car . . . |
. . . as Iolo watches from the door of the shop |
Britt also watches the proceedings |
Gaynor has to find out what it is all about |
"Has something happened over the weekend?" |
"I have a right to know" |
"Abuse of a position of trust, probably" |
The news horrifies Gaynor |
Iolo is compulsively cleaning again |
"Everyone knows now, and you'll have to get used to it" |
"This mess is Tyler's problem!" |
"Why am I still worried about him, then?" |
"What he's done to you is unforgivable!" |
Eifion tries to restore order in Llwyncelyn |
Another cup meets its Waterloo |
Izzy protests, “That was one of Mam’s favourite cups! She got them from Auntie Verity before she died!”
He rather doubtfully suggests that they could glue it back together.
"Don't suppose we can glue it back together?" |
Tyler was not long at the police station |
"I'm out on bail" |
"I can't stand everybody looking at me" |
"I must go and talk to him" |
Here comes trouble! |
"I saw you at the soup kitchen" |
Hywel is pleased that another woman has presented herself to him |
"You denied that you'd even kissed!" |
"I'm really sorry, Gaynor!" |
"The only thing you can do now is resign!" |
“Innocent of what, exactly?” she rages, “You abused your power – you slept with a pupil!” He understands that she does not want him to carry on as deputy head,
but maintains he can continue with his job in the department until they make a decision in court.
“After what you’ve done, you’re not fit to be a teacher!” she snarls, and walks out.
"I can still continue with my job" |
"You're not fit to be a teacher!" |
"Gaynor's out of sight for five minutes!" |
"You look much younger than Gaynor" |
When she comes downstairs, Gaynor is not particularly keen to join them,
but Angharad asks what Izzy and Eifion want to drink (presumably paid for by Hywel).
"What are you all having to drink?" |
"Come one, Iolo – hold your head up high" |
"He's upstairs" |
Garry remarks to Britt, “Tyler doesn’t regret it at all,” and then Hywel comes over,
enquiring about the police presence; he is told by Britt that it is none of his business, but he insists that an affair with a pupil is everyone’s business.
"What's with the police, then?" |
As Angharad is listening just along the bar,
Britt remarks, “Says the man who had an affair with Stacey – and with Rhys’ mother!” but he insists that those situations were different.
"Says the man who had an affair with Stacey – and with Rhys' mother!" |
Tyler announces he is on bail |
"It's important you believe me, not Aled" |
"It doesn't matter when it happened!" |
"I went to the police because I love you" |
"Love isn't enough this time!" |
"Right, I'm going!" |
"You know I don't trust her!" |
"Why have you been hiding such a cool college friend?" |
"Christmas present for you, Gaynor" |
"Malbec – how nice" |
Iolo makes a rapid exit from the Deri |
"Why don't we have some drinks at Llwyncelyn ?" |
Gaynor does not look happy about this |
Angharad has to contact Jeremy, her husband, first; “He’ll been wondering where I am.”
Gaynor cannot believe that she is married, and is not looking forward to her being back at Llwyncelyn.
"I didn't know you were married" |
"He's given up on me, Dan' (and who can blame him?) |
Dani tries to make her implausible argument sound convincing |
"He'll come round – just give him time" |
"There's no time when it comes to Gaynor" |
He is instructed to take that letter to Gaynor |
"Show that you're taking responsibility" |
"And if Iolo sees I'm doing the right thing . . ." |
Izzy supplies everyone with drinks |
Has Gaynor received bad news about her application? |
"It's Gaynor Llywelyn, JP now, is it?" |
"You see, Mam, we planned this party" |
"I've driven all the way back from Aber" |
"Well, it is the season of celebration" |
"Er . . . I broke one of Auntie Valmai's cups" |
"The antique shop in Narberth has one for £200" |
"It's like Piccadilly Circus in here!" |
"I've brought my letter of resignation" |
"Are you going to help with with serving, Dan?" |
"He's been a long time at Llwyncelyn" |
"He's just lost his job, Gar" |
"And whose fault is that?" |
"If you're not happy with that, go and stay with Britt!" |
The animosity between them continues |
"Fish and chips – the job does have its perks" |
"You've got a cheek!" (How did he get in, anyway?) |
"I'll ring you later, Iolo – right?" |
"Do you want to meet up at the end of the week?" |
"No, I don't think so" |
"You said there was hope if I went to the police" |
"No, I did not! I told you to do the right thing" |
Iolo is not such a 'pushover' as expected |
"I texted her – but she didn't reply" |
"I was hoping she would be here tonight" |
"Delyth had too many Christmas presents" |
"And who's Delyth?" |
"The three of us are back together now!" |
"To be honest, I want to ask you a favour" |
"I'll see if I can arrange something" |
"Gaynor, you're a friend for life!" |
Gaynor does not like this much |
"The OCD is back, isn't it?" |
"I'm fine, Tyler" |
"We still love each other" |
"It will never be the right time – so go home!" |
"This is my home – with you and Greta" |
“I’m trying here, Iol!” he exclaims,
and is told to stop, because their relationship is over, but Tyler will not accept that
"Well, stop trying! It's over, Tyler!" |
"I'm going to wait for Greta" |
"She deserves to see her father!" |
