Iolo starts reading the poem
Iolo is practising the poem at Y Felin;  “And the shyness of spring becomes the confidence of summer, and the flame . . .”
"Put more emphasis into the word 'flame', Iolo!"
At this point his father structs him to emphasise the word ‘flame’, and he throws down the poem,
"You've turned this into some kind of Eisteddfod!"
protesting, “I can’t do this, Dad!   I felt OK until you turned it into some kind of Eisteddfod!”
Anita tries to calm things
Anita brings them a drink to steady their nerves, and then Kelly arrives with baby Paul;
"He slept a little last night"
she reports that he slept a little last night.
"Are you all right, Iols?"
“Are you all right, Iols?” she asks, “You look lush.”
"He's not in that suit!"
Anita notices that the baby is not in his matching costume;  “The suit that the boys bought for him,”
"He puked over it – sorry. Iol!"
and is informed that he puked over it earlier.   When she went to change him, it came out the other end as well.   Anita is concerned that he will not match the happy ‘couple’, but Iolo is sure that he will look cute in anything.
"No more fussing, OK?"
Kelly strictly instructs her aunt, “No fussing –OK?”
Garry fixes Tyler's buttonhole
At number 7, Tyler is trying to fix his buttonhole, so Garry gives him some assistance;  he says that it is all ready in the Deri, and Dani has sorted everything.
"You just concentrate on that poem!"
“You just concentrate on ceremony, and that poem – the ‘Vast Seasons of Our Love’,” he laughs.
"Two pineapples, a unicorn and a carrot!"
Tyler’s phone sounds, and he receives a good luck message, allegedly from Greta;  Garry is surprised that she can type.   Tyler replies, “Well, she can do emojis – two pineapples, a unicorn and a carrot!   She is all ready in her new dress.”
"Will you be wanting another child after this?|
Garry wonders if they will have another child after this, pointing out that they had Greta after their wedding;  “So does renewing your vows mean you’re going to have another one?”
"No plans at the moment"
Tyler replies that they might do some time, but have no plans at the moment.   Garry suggests that they can have a can before they go.
"I might have gone too far, you know"
At Llwyncelyn, Gaynor is not looking forward to seeing Ffion today;  “I may have gone too far, you know,” she tells Hywel.
"She was the one who went too far!"
He stresses that Ffion is the one who went too far;  it is understandable that she is disappointed, but the way she reacted was too much.
“Do you think she’s jealous of us?” Gaynor wonders,
"Ffion's happy with Rhys"
but he is convinced that she is happy with Rhys, and thinks he will wait until lunchtime before phoning his son.   Gaynor suspects that Ffion will turn Rhys against them,
"That won't happen"
but Hywel doubts if that will happen.
Ffion is definitely not keen on going
At Cysgod y Glyn, Ffion does not want to go to this celebration;  “Everyone will know that I didn’t get the job,” she groans,
"Well, I'm not going to tell anyone"
but Rhys is not going to be informing anyone.
"I'm sure Gaynor will tell everyone"
“I’m sure Gaynor will tell everyone what I did last night!” Ffion continues, and he instructs her to forget about it;
"Let's just go and have a good time"
they will just go and have a good time together.   She reluctantly agrees, and will get changed.
"How do you feel about your father and Gaynor?"
Then she remembers, “I didn’t ask you how you feel about your father and Gaynor.”   He has not given it much thought, but it does not worry him, as he has always liked Gaynor, and he considers that she and Dad were good together.
“If they’re happy, I’m happy,” he says,
"It's going to be difficult at work now"
but Ffion fears that things will be difficult for her at work now.   He accuses her of getting ahead of herself, as they have only just started seeing each other.   “Come and help me decide what I’m going to wear,” she invites him, and he appears very willing to give some assistance.
At Y Felin, Kelly has another copy of the poem, in case Iolo forgets his words.
They leave for the ceremony . . .
They all leave for the ceremony, and Siôn admits that he is rather nervous;
. . . the premiere of Siôn's masterpiece
“This is the premiere of my masterpiece,” he tells Anita.
No-one suitable has applied for the job
Rhys is becoming downhearted that there is no-one who can do the job in the gym;
"I'm tempted to tell Gaynor to stuff her job!"
“I’m tempted to tell Gaynor to stuff her job, and come and work with you,” Ffion announces, but he does not think she is right for the job.
"We agreed you could do a few lessons"
“We agreed that you could take a few lessons now and again,” he admits, but she maintains that if she is good enough to do that, she is good enough to do it full-time.
He points out that they are looking for different skills;
"I don't want the youngsters to have their former teacher there"
“And I don’t really want the youngsters to have their former teacher there all the time,” he adds, which does not go down very well with Ffion.
"Think you and Dani will have more children?"
At number 7, Tyler asks, “Do you think you and Dani will have more children?” and Garry replies that Dani wants to, but he is happy with Gwern and Seren.   Tyler did not think that Dani would want more children after losing the baby.
"She's trying it on with me all the time"
Garry groans, “She’s desperate – she’s trying it on with me all the time.   Do you think you could talk to her?”   Tyler has other things on his mind at the moment,
"Leave it for now, Garry"
and tells Garry to leave it for now.  They must finish their drink, as it is time to go.
Iolo is all of a panic
In the Deri, Iolo is pacing up and down;  Kelly, complete with her baby, tells him to ‘chill’,
Greta is very well-behaved
and points out that Tyler is just coming in.   Greta is sitting very quietly by herself, as Ffion and Rhys also arrive,
"Isn't he gorgeous?"
and Ffion goes straight over to see baby Paul.
"Sleeping – not so much!"
Kelly reports that he is feeding fine;  “Sleeping – not so much!” she complains, and Ffion remembers those days, but emphasises that things do get better.
"Ah – it's a little train"
She has brought a present for him, a rattle in the form of a little train with his name on it.
"Oh yes, please!"
When invited to have a cwtch with Paul, Ffion is very eager,
"I won't be as good as Mam"
although she concedes that she may not be as good as Mam.
"I think she has a touch of the baby blues"
As Kelly goes to the bar, Anita tells them she thinks that Kelly has a touch of the baby blues,
"Don't go getting any ideas, Ffi!"
and Rhys cautions Ffion against getting any ideas.
Anita cannot stop herself interfering
As usual, Anita is fussing over Kelly;  “Take it easy with that – you haven’t had alcohol for a while!”   Kelly replies that they are celebrating, and warns her aunt not to make excuses for her.
"I haven't got the baby blues"
“I haven’t got the baby blues, or postnatal depression – or whatever you’re telling people I’ve got!” she growls, but Anita maintains there is something wrong, as Kelly has not been right for a week.
"I've got a new baby – I'm exhausted!"
“I’ve got a new baby – I’m exhausted,” Kelly explains, but Anita goes on that there is more to it than that.”
You’re an expert now, are you?” Kelly demands,
"I'm only trying to help, Kelly"
and Anita replies that it is fine if she wants to be rude, but she insists she is only trying to help, and again raises the subject of the suit.
"It's not about the blinkin' suit!"
“It’s not about the blinkin’ suit!” Kelly rages, “If they don’t want photos because he doesn’t match,
"Who flippin' cares?"
“who flippin’ cares?” and she walks away.
Siôn welcomes the assembled guests
Siôn calls for the attention of the assembled multitude, and begins, “Friends, can I extend a warm welcome to you all, to celebrate Iolo’s and Tyler’s renewal of wedding vows.   It will be short ceremony,
"An old Celtic tradition"
“but we are going to start with an old Celtic tradition.”
He binds their hands together
He invites Iolo and Tyler to join hands, and symbolically binds them together with a red and white cord.   “Iolo and Tyler are going to recite a poem – now I’m not claiming to be a poet at all, but it was an honour to write something from the heart for these two.   The title of the poem is ‘The Seasons of Our Love’.”
Garry loudly announces, “Signed copies will be on sale later!”
Garry still finds this hilarious
Tyler begins to read, “From seed to bud, grows a strong trunk,” and Garry cannot stifle his laughter.
Siôn is rather perturbed
Then Tyler abandons the poem, instead declaring, “Iolo Davies-White, I love you – there’s nothing else I want to, or can say, because that says it all.”
Iolo also goes off-script
Siôn passes the poem to Iolo, but he totally ignores it, as he says, “A love as strong as steel – that’s what our rings say, isn’t it, and I still mean it.   I love you, Tyler.
"You, Greta and our little family"
“You, Greta, our little family – I love you, and I’m so happy.”
Siôn acknowledges that was better than the piece he wrote;
"As a sign of their eternal love"
“As a sign of Iolo’s and Tyler’s eternal love for each other – and for Greta and their little family, their hands are bound, and this is also a sign of the strength of their relationship.”
Hywel can be seen going outside . . .
The guests all applaud, and Siôn unties them;  Hywel has gone outside, and is looking at his phone.
. . . and Rhys follows
Rhys joins him out there and explains that Ffion is sorry about last night;  “She was disappointed.”
"I don't know anything about the job"
Hywel could see that, but adds that he did not know anything about that job.
"You and Gaynor seem to be happy"
“But you and Gaynor?” Rhys says, quizzically, “You seem happy.”
"It's early days, but we are happy"
Hywel admits that it is early days, but they are happy.
“I’ve always liked Gaynor,” Rhys goes on, “She was always great with me – although I didn’t make things easy for her.”
Hywel asks if he is happy for them, and he agrees that he is,
"Don't hurt her, Dad"
but warns his father not to hurt her.   Hywel does not intend to do that, and enquires whether Ffion is it going to be all right, but Rhys does not know the answer to that.
"The speeches are about to start"
Garry comes out to inform them that the speeches are about to start, and then the food.
"Sorry, I overreacted"
Inside, Ffion hesitantly apologises to Gaynor about her behaviour last night, admitting that she overreacted;   Gaynor reports that the stain came out of the dress, so Ffion will not be getting a bill,
"The decision was nothing personal"
and explains, “The decision was nothing personal – the panel made the decision, based upon the interview.”
Ffion realises that she will just have to accept it, and wonders who did get the job, but Gaynor is not at liberty to tell her.
"Someone who did a better job than me!"
“Someone who did a better job than me!” Ffion concludes.
He is bound to be causing trouble
Gaynor notices Aled standing there, and doubts that is a good idea for him to be there.
"We're very happy for you and Hywel"
Ffion acknowledges that she is very happy for Gaynor and Hywel.
Hywel immediately assumes that Ffion is there to apologise for last night, but Ffion explains that she and Gaynor now understand each other;  she  goes to sit down with Rhys.
"I don't want him to spoil today!"
Iolo tells Tyler to get rid of Aled;  “I don’t want him to spoil today!”
Gaynor wants a word with Tyler
Then Gaynor comes over for a word with Tyler.
Anita is at it again!
Anita is still fussing over Kelly;  “If you and Paul want a break, you can go back to the flat.”   Kelly replies that they will go back when she is ready, and Anita walks away in disgust.
"Iol, the ceremony was lovely"
“Iol, the ceremony was lovely,” Kelly tells him.
"You have to forget about her, Dani"
Seeing Dani, staring at Kelly, Garry says, “You have to forget about her – it’s her decision.”
"She's throwing away everything I want!"
Dani protests, “Kelly is throwing away everything I want – I can’t forget that!”   He warns her not to spoil her brother’s day, but she ignores him and walks across to Kelly.
"Are you going to stop staring at me?"
“Are you going to stop staring at me?” Kelly demands, and Dani wants to know if she has changed her mind.   “Why would I?   I’m doing the right thing,” Kelly insists.
"I can look after him for a few days"
“OK, I’ve been thinking – you’re not sleeping, your hormones are all over the shop, so what if I had him?   I can look after him for a few days, or a week, to give you a break,” Dani suggests.
"I'm the one in the right here!"
Kelly looks at her and declares, “You don’t get it, do you?   I’m the one in the right here!”
"Your baby needs his mother"
Dani argues that her baby needs her – he needs his mother, but Kelly takes issue with this.
"Me, here in Cwmderi, isn't the best possible start!"
“What he needs is the best possible chance – and me, here in Cwmderi, isn’t that.”   Dani walks away from her.
Aled and Tyler go outside
Iolo notices Tyler talking to Aled, who then leaves the pub, with Tyler following him.
Outside, Tyler shouts, “What do you think you’re doing?” and is invited to go away with Aled.
"Leave him and come with me!"
“Leave him and come with me!” Aled urges,
"We've just renewed our vows!"
but Tyler points out that they have just renewed their vows.
"Why did you sleep with me, then?"
“That was a farce – if you love him so much, why did you sleep with me?” he is asked.
Tyler reminds him again that it was a mistake, and they have been through it before.   “You said those words – you said you loved him – when you want to be with me!” Aled stresses.
"Does he know what we did?"
Tyler shouts that is not true, and Iolo appears in the doorway;  “Does he know what you did – what we did?” Aled demands, and Iolo answers that he he knows everything he needs to know.
"This crush of yours isn't going to change anything!"
“I know that he loves me, and I love him – and this crush of yours isn’t going to change anything!” roars Iolo, and both of them want him to leave;
"Go on, then!"
“Go on, then!” instructs Iolo.
Aled says, without any feeling, that he is sorry and hopes that they will be happy together;  he walks away along the street.
"I meant everything I said"
Iolo reminds Tyler that he meant everything he said in there, and Tyler replies that he did too;  “Especially that bit about the strong trunk of our love’!”
Aled is planning something
Iolo looks along the street, where we see a devious smile appear on Aled’s face.   Inside, Garry is complaining, “They can’t just disappear,” but then they come back in, and Garry calls for some speeches.
"To Iolo and Tyler!"
Siôn proposes a toast to ‘Iolo and Tyler’.
"I don't like talking in front of people"
Iolo says that he does not like talking in front of people, but simply thanks then all for coming today, with him and his wonderful husband;
"A talented teacher – and the Deputy Head"
“You really are the greatest guy in the world,” he tells Tyler, “The best friend, the best father, a talented teacher.   I am very proud to announce that he’s also, officially, the Deputy Head of the Lifelong School.”
"What?  Not him!"
At this disclosure, Ffion’s face falls, and she looks at Gaynor with revulsion.   Siôn announces that now the Deputy Head is going to say a few words as well.
"I love you more than I did the first time around!"
Tyler also thanks them for being there, and maintains that he loves Iolo more than he did the first time round;  “The feeling is totally amazing.”
Ffion is seething with repressed anger
Ffion is feeling extremely disillusioned.
