"Ooh, yes, I like that"
At Bryntirion, Jason and his mother are enthusing over online details of houses;  “That’s nice – I like that one,” says Diane,
"It's a bit small, isn't it?"
but when Sara is called from her washing-up to have a look at it, she decides that it is rather small.
"Top of the range kitchen and bathroom!"
Dai points out that the bathroom and kitchen are new;  “And top notch!”   Sara does not know if there is enough room for all of Ifan’s things, so Jason finds another one with larger rooms – and a big garden,
"That's not in the best area, is it?"
but she replies that it is not in a very salubrious area.
Jason will call in to see the letting agent after lunch to see if anything new has come in.
"Anyone would think you didn't want to find somewhere new"
When Sara joins Diane in front of the sink, she is told, “Anyone would think you don’t want to find somewhere new.”
Sara says that the salon flat was perfect;  “Right in the middle of the village, close to work – and we won’t find anything as good for the price we can afford.”
"She won't find anything if she won't look!"
When she goes upstairs, Diane comments. “She won’t find anything if she won’t look!”
"Don't you start, Mam!"
and Jason tells her not to start.
"Go over to talk to Debbie"
In the Deri, Gwyneth comes face to face with Mark, and urges him to go over and talk to Debbie;  the customers at the bar are looking at him.
"There's nothing going on between Debbie and Gwyneth!"
When Gwyneth has walked out in disgust, he announces to everyone in a loud voice, “Right, I just want to say that there’s nothing going on between Debbie and Gwyneth, all right?” and he asks Cassie for a pint.
"Things are a lot easier if you just face them"
Gerwyn wonders why Kath would say such a thing if it is not true;  “I know this is difficult for you, but these things are a lot easier if you just face them.”
"The reason is more complicated, believe me!"
Mark enlightens him, “The reason we split up is a lot more complicated, believe me,” and he decides not to bother with his pint, after all.
Mark completely ignores Debbie
Outside the door, he sees Debbie, who asks if he is all right, but he walks straight past her.
"I think what you are doing is very brave"
Iolo is nearby, and says that he could not help noticing;  “I think what you’re doing is very brave,” and Debbie looks puzzled;  “I know it might not feel right at the moment, but if you ever need to talk to someone . . .”
"What are you on about, Iolo?"
She makes it quite clear that she does not know what he is talking about,
She walks away from him
and walks away from him.
"It would be nice to have some help here, Diane!"
At APD, Dai moans that it would be nice to have some help, but Diane is worried about Jason and Sara;  “You always worry about Jason and Sara,” he grumbles, and she remarks that Sara has been working a lot lately.
"Do you think there's something going on between them?"
“Do you think there’s something going on between her and Dylan?” she asks;
"Sara's not stupid enough to destroy the family"
Dai concedes that Jason has not been ‘husband of the year’, but does not think that Sara is stupid enough to destroy the family.
"I want to help them somehow"
“I want to help them somehow,” she continues, and Dai reminds her that Jason has said he does not want her interference.   “There’s nothing wrong with giving your son and daughter-in-law a treat!” she protests,
"What 'treat' did you have in mind?"
and he wonders what treat’ she has in mind.
"This baby really doesn't want to shift!"
As Iolo unpacks his shopping bag, Kelly groans, “This baby really doesn’t want to shift.”   That is why he has a few things to help – including herbal tea and pineapple.
“It says on the website it will help things get moving,” he insists,
She doubts that teabags and a pineapple will help
but she believes he is putting too much faith in a teabag and tropical fruit.   “It won’t hurt to try,” he tells her, and she demands why these contractions have not started.
“You should be cooking for Tyler, not babysitting me,” she says,
"You obviously need the help"
but he can see that she obviously needs the help, and asks if she is ready.
"There's a lot to sort out with the café"
She replies that there is still a lot to sort out with the café;
"I meant are you ready to see the baby?"
Iolo was thinking more in terms of being ready to meet the baby.
"It's not going to stay in there for ever, is it?"
Kelly answers, “I haven’t got much choice, have I?   It’s not going to stay in here for ever!”   She agrees that it is, “A big deal.”   Then they hear Debbie’s voice as she come upstairs.
"I'm here to offer some help in the café"
“Gwen told me to come up – it’s obvious you have a lot on your plate at the moment, and I’m here to offer some help with the café.   Gwen can’t run the place on her own – you’ll be out of action for a while.”
"Auntie Anita is on the way back from France"
Kelly says that Auntie Anita is on her way back from France, so everything is sorted.
"This is nothing to do with you and Mark"
Debbie looks very disappointed, and Kelly makes it clear that this is nothing to do with her and Mark;
"All my best friends are gay"
“All my best friends are gay,” she comments, smiling at Iolo.   Debbie cannot understand what she is saying, so Kelly explains, “Your situation . . .” and Iolo adds that it is going round the village.
"Everyone knows you left Mark for Gwyneth"
To Debbie’s utter amazement, Kelly continues, “You and Gwyneth – everyone knows you left Mark for Gwyneth –
"It's nothing to be ashamed of, Debbie"
“it’s nothing to be ashamed of.”
Debbie is most emphatic that she is not ashamed, because she is not gay;
"I'm not in a relationship with Gwyneth!"
“And I’m not in a relationship with Gwyneth!”   She angrily marches out of the flat.
"Have you spoken to the children about university?"
Jaclyn has been to the shop to get some supplies for Dylan, and asks Gerwyn if he has spoken to the children about university.   They are not at home, so he was unable to do so;
"We never went to university and we did all right"
“Anyway, we never went to university, and we did all right,” he maintains.
"I want my children to be more than 'all right'!"
She is determined that her children will be more than just ‘all right’.
“What’s wrong with leaving school and finding a job?” he asks, but she insists that it is an opportunity they never had, and the children are brighter than them.   He jokes that they take after their father.
Sara heads across to number 10 . . .
Seeing Jaclyn going into the house, Sara crosses the road towards number 10,
. . . watched by Jason
and Jason happens to be watching from the door of APD.
She looks hesitant outside the door . . .
Sara looks apprehensive as she waits for the door to open,
. . . but then is invited inside
then she is invited in.
"Come on – don't just stand there like Lot's wife!"
Dai summons Jason from his vantage point, “A delivery’s arrived out the back – we need to shift it.   Come on – don’t just stand there like Lot’s wife!”
"It's a bit early for Christmas, isn't it?"
Sara wants to discuss the Christmas menus at Tapas with Jaclyn, although she thinks it is rather early for that.
Sara stresses that there is a lot to sort out
“We have to cost everything, send out leaflets, get the menus printed,” Sara explains.   While Jaclyn makes a cup of tea, she tells Sara to go up and see Dylan, as he would like a visitor,
"No, I don't want to disturb Dylan"
but Sara says she does not want to disturb him.   “I want to discuss these menus, while the ideas are still fresh in my mind,” she insists,
"Keen to make a good impression on the boss when he comes back?"
and Jaclyn can see she is keen to make a good impression for when the boss returns.   She appreciates working with someone who is it so enthusiastic, and Sara points out that Christmas is a good chance to make a tidy profit.
"We're more than capable of running the place on our own"
“Dylan doesn’t need to come back to Tapas at all – we’re more than capable of running the place on our own,” suggests Jaclyn, “And we know that all he does is sit in that chair in the office!”
Gwyneth is highly amused when she hears of the rumour
Gwyneth, who is putting up some curtains, finds it quite hilarious when she hears of the rumour going round the village, but Debbie does not find it funny at all;
"I think Mark must have heard it"
“I think that Mark may have heard the rumours – he was so odd with me earlier,” she groans.
"I have to prove to Mark and Ricky that I'm sorry!"
“How did all this happen?” Debbie demands, but Gwyneth lightheartedly responds that it is not the end of the world.   “I’m not talking about the rumours,” she laments, “I have to prove to Mark and Ricky that I’m sorry.”   Gwyneth doubts that they will listen this time.
"I'm going to confess everything to the police!"
“Because I’m not going to say anything – I’m going to show them!   I’m going to confess everything to the police,” Debbie declares.
"Upstairs, first door on the right":
Jason arrives at number 10, alleging that he wants to see how Dylan is doing;  he is directed to the first room on the right upstairs.   Dylan grins when he sees Jason;
"Come to see how I'm doing again, have you?"
“Come to see how I’m doing again, have you?”
"What was Sara doing here?"
Jason wants to know, “What was Sara doing here?”   Dylan replies that he has not seen Sara,
Jason repeats his question
and when Jason asks the same question again, he receives the same answer,
"If you have a problem with your wife – talk to her!"
and is told if he has a problem with his wife, he should talk to her about it.
"If I find you're lying . . ."
“If I find out that you’re lying . . .” Jason growls,
"Yeah – what are you going to do about it?"
and Dylan wonders what he will do about it, so Jason leaves the room.
"Being in Holloway won't help matters"
Gwyneth argues, “You’ll have less of a chance of building bridges with Mark if you’re in Holloway or somewhere!
"Fancy – Mark spreading lies like that!"
“He’s got a cheek, spreading lies like that in the first place!”
"I'm pretty sure Kath started it"
but Debbie suspects it was Kath’s doing.
She reveals, “Kath said that if I don’t divorce Mark, she will go to the police and tell them about the drugs – that’s why I think I should confess everything!”
"You can't let Kath blackmail you"
Gwyneth insists that she cannot let Kath blackmail her, but she does not know what other choices she has;  she does not want to go to jail,
"I can't divorce Mark – I still love him"
but she cannot divorce Mark, because she still loves him.
"Bit of a loser, that Jason, isn't he?"
Jaclyn takes Dylan a cup of tea, and asks what Jason wanted;  he describes Jason as, “A bit of a loser – has Sara been here too?”
"She wanted to discuss Christmas at Tapas"
Jaclyn replies that she wanted to discuss Christmas at Tapas, and he is meant to be resting.   He would like to have talked to someone other than Jaclyn and Gerwyn.
"Are you trying to say we're boring?"
“Are you trying to say that we’re boring?” she demands, and he replies that he was not trying, he was saying it.
"I'm not having an affair with Gwyneth – or anyone else!"
Cassie comes back to number 9, where Debbie is looking very upset;  “Someone’s been spreading rumours about Gwyneth and me – I’m not having an affair with her – or anyone else.   I’ve lost everything – Ricky won’t even talk to me!”
"Mai hasn't spoken to me for years!"
Cassie appreciates how she feels;  “Mai hasn’t spoken to me for years!   What happened between you?”
"It's a long story – amd I miss Mark!"
Debbie says that it is a long story, and that she misses Mark.
"Right, we're going out, Debbie"
Gwyneth comes downstairs and informs Debbie that they are going out;  Cassie agrees that it is better than staying there, feeling sorry for herself, and Gwyneth will not take no for an answer.
"You still have your friends – come on!"
“Your family may have turned their backs on you, but you still have your friends – come on!”
Sara has a message from Dylan
Sara has received a message on her phone from Dylan;  “You should have come up to say hello.”
Jason is wearing a sombre look
Jason walks in, looking very serious, and she can see that there is something wrong.
Diane has booked them a weekend in Paris
Diane interrupts them to announce, “Dai and I have noticed that you’ve been under a fair bit of strain recently – we have booked you a weekend away in Paris.”
"That's too much, Diane!"
Sara protests that it is too much,
"Exactly what I said!"
and Dai concurs, “That’s exactly what I said!”   Diane continues that they need a treat – and Paris is so romantic.   Sara is adamant that they cannot accept, and worries about Ifan, but is assured that they will look after him, and Dai is happy for Jason to have the time off.
"What do you mean?   I'm not happy!"
“Not happy!” Dai shouts.
"I'm sure Dylan won't mind you spending time with your husband"
“I’m sure Dylan won’t mind you spending time with your husband,” Diane goes on, “There we are, then – everything’s been paid for – what do you say?”
A rather unenthusiastic hug
Sara and Jason thank Diane, albeit without much enthusiasm.
As they walk outside the Deri, Iolo enquires whether Kelly has any twinges, and she replies, “The only twinges I get are in my ankles,
"That has nothing to do with labour"
and that has nothing to do with labour – “if I remember my biology lessons.”
"No, nothing has happened yet"
Her phone rings, and she advises the hospital that nothing has happened yet;
"You what?"
she is very disappointed to hear that she cannot be induced today, because they have no beds.
"Let's try a super spicy curry from Cwm Delhi!"
Iolo thinks they will have to order a super spicy curry from Cwm Delhi, to try and shift it.
"I'm going to look like a Chicken Balti at this rate!"
Kelly protests, “I’m going to look like a Chicken Balti at this rate!”
"Still not 'popped' then?"
Gwyneth and Debbie are on their way to the Deri, and Gwyneth is surprised that Kelly has still not ‘popped’;
"Doesn't look like it, does it?"
“Doesn’t look like it, does it?” is her reply, “Are you still free to look after the café? Auntie Anita and Siôn are stuck in France – I’m being induced tomorrow, so are you free, please?”
Debbie is pleased to be helping in the café
Debbie is delighted to assist her, and regards it as very good news;
"So this is the end of that police nonsense?"
Gwyneth hopes that this means the end of the nonsense about going to the police. “Mark was quite nice to me yesterday, I suppose,” Debbie recalls,
"There's no need to spoil anything"
and is told that there is no need to spoil anything.
"Why did you go to see Dylan today?"
Sara tells Jason that his mother is giving Ifan a bath.   After a long pause, he demands, “Why did you go to see Dylan today?”
and she answers that she has not seen him today.
"I saw you knock on the door and go in"
“I saw you knock on the door and go in,” he goes on,
"I was talking to Jaclyn about the Christmas menus"
and she explains that it was to see Jaclyn about the Christmas menus.   Dai comes in, accompanied by Jaclyn, who he says he found on the doorstep.
"I haven't had a chance to cost them yet"
She has brought back the suggested menus, but has not yet had a chance to cost them with the supplier.
"Dylan's been feeling low since the explosion"
She thanks Jason for coming to see Dylan this afternoon;
Jason's story is out now
“He’s been feeling low since the explosion – in fact I think he’s fed up with us.”
"Believe me now?"
When she has gone, Sara demands, “Believe me now?”
That did not go too well
and walks out of the room.
