Dani lies in the road . . .
The car alarm continues sounding as the camera scans the wreckage;  Dani is partially covered by debris,
. . . while Sioned has just woken up in the back street
and Sioned, who is in the back street, coughs and splutters as she realises what has happened.
She surveys her surroundings . . .
She slowly gets up, with Tyler’s car just behind her, and Jessie, who is lying on the road.
. . . Jessie, motionless at her feet . . .
Sioned looks in panic at Jessie, who appears to have facial injuries,
. . . and the gun nearby
and also notices her gun lying nearby.
Garry discovers the scene of devastation
By this time Garry has left the garage and strides into the High Street;  a scene of carnage greets him,
"Garry, call the police!"
as Sioned runs through the alley, and shouts to him to call the police.
"What happened?"
He wants to know what happened, but Sioned takes his phone and dials 999, asking for all the services to attend;  “Police, ambulance, fire brigade!   Some sort of explosion, High Street, Cwmderi!”
Someone else is contacting the emergency services
Meanwhile Garry investigates further,
The villagers emerge from their houses
as people start coming out of their houses;  Gwyneth looks in horror at the situation,
Garry makes a shocking discovery . . .
and then Garry notices Dani, lying there.
. . . Dani is lying there
He shouts for assistance as he tries to remove the wreckage from her, and is about to move her, but is stopped by Gwyneth;  “You’d better not, just in case – put something over her to keep her warm.
Gerwyn, in his pyjamas
Gerwyn donates his dressing gown for the same purpose, leaving him in his pyjamas.

"This is my fault!"
Garry realises, “This is my fault!” and Gwyneth goes to make sure that Gwern and Seren are all right in the Deri, while Garry assures Dani that she is going to be OK.
"There has been an explosion in the village!"
At Bryntirion, Diane is making herself a drink, and wonders what Jason is doing up at this time;  he replies that something has happened in the village – an explosion.
"I can't get hold of Sara or Kelly"
“It’s all over Facebook – something to do with the salon – and I can’t get hold of Sara!” he exclaims, “Kelly isn’t answering her phone either.”
"What on earth happened?"
Diane looks on her tablet at pictures of the scene and wonders what on earth happened.
"Sara, answer the phone, will you?"
Jason is still not having any success at contacting Sara.
Dylan lies in the wreckage of the salon
Approaching sirens can be heard, as inside the salon, amidst furniture and other detritus, we see the inert shapes of Dylan and Sara;
Sara's phone goes unanswered
her phone rings, but she is unconscious.
It is now daylight, and the full extent of the blast can be seen;  despite the serious damage to the salon,
Daylight has arrived rather suddenly . . .
the surrounding buildings seem to have escaped unscathed.
. . . and the emergency services are deployed
Firemen are going about their duties, as are the ambulance crews,
DI Davies approached Sioned
and DI Davies walks towards Sioned,
"You said she was in France!"
who snarls, “You said she was in France, and that Mam and I would be safe!”
The DI replies that the tipoff was fake;  “By the time we found out it wasn’t Jessie, it was too late.
"But you left the flat with her?"
“But you left the flat with her?”   Sioned points out she had no choice, as Jessie threatened to go after her Mam and Huwi if she did not go.
"I wasn't sure whether she was alive or not"
“I wasn’t sure if she was alive or not when I ran away from her,” she says, and the DI predicts that she cannot have got far.   Sioned and her family will be kept under police protection until they catch her.
“Martin will take you to Penrhewl once the paramedics are finished,” the DI adds, and reveals that they have not found Jessie’s gun, a fact which Sioned finds alarming.
Jason is in a hurry to check at the cf
Jason and his mother have now reached the village, and Jason is anxious to check the cafe to make sure that Sara and Kelly are all right;
"Ask them if they've seen Dylan"
Gerwyn wants to ask them if they know where Dylan is, as Jaclyn cannot get hold of him.   Jason cannot imagine that Dylan would be at the café flat, but Diane finds the café in darkness with no sign of anyone;
Jason's banging on the door elicits no response
“I don’t know how they can sleep through all this!” she exclaims,
Tomos ac Ellis seems to have suffered no damage
Cassie and Siôn come round the corner by Tomos ac Ellis, with Cassie saying that Dani did not look good when they put her in the ambulance.
Another casualty has been found in the salon
Then the Fire Incident Manager calls for paramedics;  “They’ve found another casualty inside,” he says.
"I can't contact Tyler to tell him about Dani"
Iolo is worried that he cannot contact Tyler to tell him about Dani, explaining to his father “He went to Cardiff.”
"Isn't that his car?"
His father points out the red car at the other end of the alley, recognising it as Tyler’s.
Tyler is being wheeled away
As they go to investigate, they see Tyler who is being transported by ambulance personnel.
"Have you seen this woman?"
DI Davies asks him if he saw Bethan Price, or Jessie, and shows him a picture;
"She was with Sioned, and she had a gun!"
he remembers seeing her with Sioned, and that she had a gun, besides that, he cannot recall much else, except the explosion.
"I was a fool about Buenos Aires"
Tyler wants Iolo to come to the hospital with him;  “I was a fool about Buenos Aires,” he says.
Sara is brought out of the salon . . .
Sara is carried out of the salon on a stretcher,
. . . and Jason rushes to her side
and Jason rushes across to assure her that he is here with her.    On the next stretcher is Dylan, and Diane finds this very suspicious.
"I'll go with Sara, OK, Mam?"
Jason will go in the ambulance with Sara.
"What were they doing in the salon?"
When Gerwyn passes, Diane asks him if he has any idea what they were doing in the salon, but he is in a hurry to go and tell Jaclyn about Dylan.
These two reach the same conclusion
Cassie is similarly surprised that they were in the salon, and they both come to the inevitable conclusion.
Sara is about to regain consciousness
In the hospital, Sara regains consciousness and opens her eyes;
"You're all right – you're safe"
“Sara, you’re all right, you’re safe,” Jason reassures her, “You’re in the hospital – there was an explosion in the salon – you were there – Dylan was there.   They found you together.”
"Is Dylan OK?"
Her first concern is whether Dylan is OK.
"He's in intensive care"
Jason does not know the answer to that, as Dylan is in intensive care, and his injuries are worse than hers;  “You two were up in the flat and the whole lot collapsed into the salon after the explosion.   I was worried about you, Sara!   I couldn’t get hold of you.”
"Ifan is safe at Bryntirion"
He reports that Ifan is safely at Bryntirion;  “I’ll bring him in when you’re feeling better.”
I'm sorry, Jason"
She tells him that she is sorry.
"Things are not looking good for Dylan"
Elsewhere in the hospital, Gerwyn tells Britt and Iolo that things are not looking good for Dylan at the moment, as he has internal injuries.
"How did it happen?   That's what I want to know!"
“How did it happen?  That’s what I want to know!” demands Britt , and Iolo has been told by one of the firemen that it was a gas explosion in the salon.
"I hope it's nothing to do with this drugs business"
Gerwyn hopes that it is nothing to do with this drugs business;  “It’s the type of thing they’d do – blow somewhere up – and that girl was murdered!   An explosion like this doesn’t happen every day.”
"The salon was not involved with drugs!"
Garry is quite adamant that the salon was not involved with drugs, but Gerwyn maintains that it might be a warning – and breaking into an empty building is easier.
Iolo says that Tyler is suffering from concussion, and Britt wonders what he was doing out there anyway;
"He'd been to an interview – and he wants to move"
“He’d been to Cardiff for an interview – and he wants to move,” is the answer.
Garry has received bad news from the doctor
Garry is given some information by a doctor and looks very flustered;
"Dani's lost the baby!"
he tells Britt, “Dani’s lost the baby!” but Britt did not even know she was pregnant.   “I was going to tell you after the three month scan, because of what happened, but she’s lost it.”
Dani seems uncomprehending . . .
Danny lies in the bed, staring upwards,
. . . as Garry watches her
with Garry watching through the glass;  he goes into the room
"I think I caused the explosion!"
and confesses, “I think I caused the explosion – they say it was a gas explosion.   I lost my temper – I was so angry!   I hadn’t intended to . . .”
"I'm so sorry, Dan!"
He breaks down in tears, sobbing, “I’m so sorry, Dan!”
She turns away from him
She does not reply.
"I decided to sleep in the car"
Tyler admits that he could not face Iolo;  “I couldn’t come back to the house, so I decided to sleep in the car.”
"And you wenrt for a walk in the alleyway"
Iolo assumes that he went for a walk in the alleyway,
"Last night has put everything into perspective"
and he goes on, “I’ve been so stupid – I’m not going abroad – last night has put everything into perspective!   I can’t believe I came so close to losing everything I love!”
Iolo looks happier than for some time
This cheers Iolo immensely, and he apologises for telling Tyler not to come back;  “I was just so frustrated that you would not listen to another viewpoint – I thought you just didn’t want to be with me any more.”
"I wanted to run away – but not from you and Greta!"
Tyler says he lost himself in the ‘memes’ and all that rubbish – he just wanted to run away;  “But not from you and Greta!” he stresses, “I can’t live without you.”
"All right if I go and see Tyler Davies?"
Britt goes across to speak to Tyler;  “I heard that you were leaving the village,” she says, anxiously, but he cheerfully replies that he has changed his mind.
"Aaron feels terrible about it"
“Oh, I’m so glad – if I had any idea Aaron was doing those things – but, if it makes any difference, he feels terrible about it.”
"He's young – we all do silly things"
Tyler reassures her, “He’s young – we all do silly things,” and she knows that everyone will want him back at school, when he is ready.
"Dani was pregnant – but she's lost the baby"
She adds that Dani will also need his support;  “She was pregnant – but she’s lost the baby.”
Jason gets back to Bryntirion . . .
Jason returns to Bryntirion,
. . . and now has worked out the truth
looking stunned;  his mother calls to him and asks how Sarah was.   “Still alive,” he replies in a rather subdued voice, “We couldn’t talk a lot.”
"Everything will be all right, Jason"
She tries to convince him that everything will be all right.
He sits down, disconsolately
He sits down, and that she tells him that the food will be ready soon;
"Dai's taken Ifan for a walk – they won't be long"
“Dai’s taken Ifan for a walk – they won’t be long.”
"Did Sara says why she was in the salon?"
As she takes the cutlery to the table, she continues, “Did Sara say what she was in the salon?”
Jason shakes his head
He shakes his head and says nothing;  “Perhaps you can ask her tomorrow, when she feels a bit better,” Diane suggests.
Garry returns to the scene of the tragedy
We see the view from the salon across the road, with the various debris scattered about;  Garry is standing there, surveying the scene.
"I'm sorry about the baby"
Gwyneth approaches and says, “I’m sorry about the baby,” but he wants to know if she still has the video.
When she says she will get rid of it, he objects;  “No – take it to the police – put me in jail!”
He stalks off to the Deri . . .
He walks away towards the Deri without another word,
. . . and Gwyneth looks at what used to be her salon
leaving Gwyneth looking at the remains of the salon.
