Sioned works on the Cae Glas accounts |
She hears a door slam |
"Mathew, is that you?" |
"That's a minute slower than last week!" |
Sioned is feeling highly-strung |
She dials her mother's number |
"Are you coming over today?" |
"No, I'm working here – I'm fine" |
"Turn that down, Guto!" |
"We deserve one day off, Mam" |
Tesni takes her tea back to bed with her |
Then Jaclyn interrupts Guto about doing school work,
and in a rage he throws the handset across the room, shouting, “Flipping heck, Mam!”
"Flipping heck, Mam!" |
Tyler rejects a phone call |
"Nice for some – lazing away all day!" |
"I've got loads to catch up with" |
Then a text message arrives on Tyler’s phone, which he says is from Gaynor; “She can wait!” Iolo tells him not to work too hard, and leaves.
Another text arrives, from Aled, wanting to see Tyler again, and enquiring when he is free.
That Aled will not leave him alone |
Ffion and Arwen enter the café |
This Aled's base for plaguing Tyler |
Kath spreads the word about Debbie's sexual proclivities |
"The story's right round the village!" |
Jaclyn escapes to talk to Ffion |
"Tesni and Guto must be busy with their 'personal declarations'!" |
Jaclyn does not know what she is talking about |
"Everything I need is on the laptop, Mam" |
"Where is Huwi?" |
"There's no more news from the police" |
"Leads are no good unless they catch her!" |
"I don't think they will ever catch her" |
Rhys comes into the café . . . |
. . . where Ffion and Arwen are celebrating |
"I thought you might help me film the fitness video" |
"I can't – I'm looking after Arwen" |
He finishes the leftovers as they leave . . . |
. . . then he notices Kath . . . |
. . . and comes up with a plan |
"How's Sioned been over the weekend?" |
"She's had a scare, but she'll be all right" |
"Can you keep an eye on her for me?" |
"Kath, can you look after Huwi for me?" |
"Sorry, Eileen, I've just arranged to have Arwen" |
Tyler takes another look at the message |
"Who's that at the back door?" |
No-one is in the back garden . . . |
. . . but then Aled appears again |
"I'm so glad you could help, Kath!" |
"Yes, £20 is fine" |
"Arwen can't find her 'monkey' bag" |
"We need some space" |
Ffion shouts to enquire if they are having music this time, and he informs Kath that music makes them work harder; “Why don’t you take Arwen to the café for lunch?” he suggests,
and hands her some money for doing so.
He also pays for lunch in the café |
Kath thinks she knows what is planned |
"I'll go and take these clothes off" |
"You can't do this!" |
"Just tell me that you've missed me" |
"Ty – where are you?" |
Aled is ejected from the garden rather abruptly |
"What are you doing out here?" |
"I've just put the bins out" |
Aled has not gone far |
"I've just got this VAT to finish" |
"Fancy going to the cinema tonight?" |
"You didn't mention these 'personal declarations'" |
"It's no big deal, Mam" |
"I don't even know if I want to go to college" |
"Mathew wants us to go and see him" |
"I thought you'd gone!" |
"I want to know when I shall see you again" |
Aled maintains, “You’re only saying that because you used to teach me – but I’m in a different school now – nothing’s stopping us!”
Tyler points out that he is married, and what happened last week was a mistake; he takes full responsibility for that.
"What happened was a mistake!" |
"I know you have feelings for me" |
"No, Aled!" |
Tyler watches him walk away (but he will surely be back!) |
"We'll bring the cinema to you!" |
"Oh, all right, then" |
"Sorry I snapped at you" |
"Don't worry – we're still mates" |
"Don't hog all the cheese and onion, right?" |
"Been in a fight with Idris Jones' U-bend!" |
"Come and sit down, Iol" |
"I want to be a good husband and father" |
"And that's what you are" |
“I haven’t been the best version of myself recently,” Tyler continues,
“You and Greta deserve better.” He is reminded that he has been under a lot of strain recently, but regrets taking it out on Iolo, and wants to make it up to him.
“I want to ask you, will you renew our wedding vows?”
Iolo regards this with some surprise.
"You and Greta deserve better" |
"Will you renew our wedding vows" |
"You what?" |
"She's definitely dead!" |
"I'm an emotional man" |
Sioned apologises to Guto |
"Are we OK?" |
"Yes, totally OK" |
Kath finds them in a state of undress |
"Did you have a good time with Auntie Kath?" |
"I didn't come back too early, did I?" |
"I'd like another go, while Ffion is off school!" |
"It's not great in the evenings after work!" |
"She was great today – but she wasn't keen this morning!" |
Sioned is looking rather more relazed |
"Man-size tissues for DJ?" |
Eileen sits alone in the Deri |
"Sorry about earlier" |
"At it like rabbits?" |
"But it must be nice, though!" |
"It's bonkers, Ty!" |
"What's wrong with doing things differently?" |
"I can be exciting sometimes" |
"You mean everything to me, Iol!" (– except when Aled is around) |
He is told by Tyler that Iolo means everything to him, and he is sorry if he has been made to feel otherwise;
“Let’s do it – we’ll renew our wedding vows – seriously!”
and they hug.
"Let's do it!" |
They hug |
