Kelly says she is ready to go to the café . . .
Kelly comes downstairs at Y Felin, and Anita does her best to dissuade her from going to work;
. . . but Anita thinks otherwise
“I don’t think you’re ready – people will talk about it – what if someone says something that upsets you?”
"The sooner I can move on"
Kelly replies that she has to go back some time, and it is only for a few hours;  “The sooner I get back to work, the sooner I can move on – support would be nice!”
"You're going to make yourself ill, Kelly!"
Anita will not offer her any support, but declares that she is going to make herself ill;  Kelly leaves for the café,, nevertheless.
Cassie is busy on the laptop
At number 10, Gwern comes in with his mother to find Cassie working on the laptop;
"I shall have to have the Reiki session here today"
Gwyneth says that she will have to have her Reiki session in the house today, as Iolo will be at the salon, fitting the new boiler.   Cassie is pleased that she will soon be able to move into the flat, and Gwern is told that he will have to work in the kitchen today.
"Auntie Cass, can you help me write a story?"
“Auntie Cass, can you help me write a story?” he asks, but she replies that she has a lot to do this afternoon,
"I'll help you later"
and agrees she will help him later.
Gwern is banished to the kitchen
Gwyneth will go to the salon to fetch some more towels.
Eifion comes to see Ffion
Ffion is sitting in the Deri, and when Eifion notices her, he comes over for a chat;  “Lunch by yourself – where’s the toy-boy, then?” he comments,
She does not like Rhys being called a 'toy-boy'
and she strongly objects to him calling Rhys that, maintaining that he is more mature than a lot of men.   “You’ve changed your tune,” he says,
"I think it's time to tell Arwen he's more than just a friend"
but she reveals that she really likes him, and has reached the conclusion that it is time she told Arwen that Rhys is more than just a friend.
"You should put Arwen first"
Eifion advises that she should put Arwen first;  “Remember I told you how it affected Bobi and Arthur when Cadno told them about Steve?   They were totally confused –
"Arwen has had several 'father figures', hasn't she?"
“Arwen has had several ‘father figures’ who have come and gone, hasn’t she?
"Unless you're 100% sure about him"
“I don’t think you should tell her about Rhys, unless you’re 100% sure about him – you don’t want to confuse her even more, do you?”
"You're no angel yourself, Eifion!"
Ffion is angry and does not want to listen to any more of this;  she makes a quick exit from the Deri, on the way reminding him, “You’re no angel yourself, Eifion!   Cadno wouldn’t be with Steve if you hadn’t done what you did.”
Kelly returns to her place in the café . . .
Kelly is in the kitchen at the café, and takes a deep breath before taking her place behind the counter;
. . . and is greeted by Iolo
Iolo welcomes her back, and assures her that Tyler is on his way, to act as emotional support for her.   He asks her for a cappuccino,
A hug from Tyler reduces her to tears . . .
and then Tyler arrives, giving her a hug.
. . . and Anita does not improve matters
At this point, she dissolves into tears, just as Anita walks in, and immediately comments, “Kel, I knew you’d upset yourself,” but Kelly replies that she is not upset,
"They're happy tears!"
alleging they are happy tears, as everyone is being so nice.
Anita blames Iolo and Tyler for giving her the idea of coming back;  “She’s obviously not strong enough!”
"Don't talk about me as if I wasn't here!"
Kelly protests, “‘She’ is still in the room – don’t talk about me as if I wasn’t here!   Stop interfering!”
"You don't know what's best!"
Anita points out that someone has to, because Kelly does not know what is best,
"I know exactly what's best for me – right?"
but she snarls in reply, “I know exactly what’s best for me, actually – Iolo, Tyler, can you spare a couple of hours, please?
"I want to move back into the flat – today!"
“I want to move back into the flat – today!”
Iolo says that he has to fit a boiler today, but will postpone it for her;  both of them will be at Y Felin after school, and Kelly leaves, having some packing to do.
"What are you doing here?"
Eifion visits Llwyncelyn, where he receives a frosty welcome from Izzy;  he wonders what is wrong with women today.
"Sure you've come to see me and not Mam?"
“Are you sure you’ve come to see me, and not Mam?” she demands, “You’ve been with her as well, haven’t you?   Something else you forgot to tell me – did it slip your mind you threatened to put photos of her on the Internet?”
"I was not the same person then, Izzy"
He begs for a chance to explain, but she replies that she cannnot understand why he did something so sick;  he argues that he was a different person then, and admits he has not treated women well in the past.
"Things are different with you"
However he insists things are different with Izzy.
"You made Mam's life hell!"
“You made her life hell with those photos!” Izzy snarls, and he agrees that it was disgusting;  he does not know why he did it, maintaining that he did not know who he was back then.
She does not regard that as an excuse, but he points out she must have done things in the past that she now regrets.
"Yes, I regret sleeping with you!"
“Yes,” she confesses, “Including sleeping with you!”
Gwern interrupts the Reiki session
At number 10, Gwyneth is practising her Reiki mumbo-jumbo, which appears to consist of some ritual waving of her hands over the head of the client, when she is interrupted by Gwern.
"Use blue and yellow, then!"
He complains that he does not have any green paint, and so she tells him to use blue and yellow, but she is unable to show him, as she is busy.
Then there is another interruption . . .
Then there is another interruption;  this time it is Iolo, advising that the boiler cannot be finished today.   “Cassie can move in tomorrow,” he tells her,
. . . and Gwern has had enough
while Gwern appears increasingly fed up with this home-schooling business.
As the session resumes . . .
As Gwyneth apologises to Eirwen, her client,
. . . Gwern slips out of the back door
Gwern makes his way out of the back door, and the Reiki resumes.
"I truly regret it"
“I can’t change what I did, but I truly regret it,” Eifion insists, “It was a terrible thing to do to your mother, and I’m sorry.
"I would never do something like that to you"
“But I would never do something like that to you – or anyone else – but especially to you!   I haven’t enjoyed being with someone so much for ages – can we just start again, please?”
Their conversation is disturbed
They are disturbed by the arrival of Gaynor, who has come home to collect a file;
"What are you doing here, Eifion?"
Eifion has to quickly think up an excuse for his presence, and tells her, “I’ve come to see you – about Arwen.
He alleges that he is worried about Arwen . . .
“I’m a little worried about her, and I thought that you, as headmistress, could keep an eye on her.
. . . but Izzy does not consider that a good idea
“Ffion’s going to tell Arwen about her and Rhys.”
"How long have you been worried about other people's feelings?"
Gaynor wonders how long he has been concerned about other people’s feelings, and he points out that he remembers how Bobi and Arthur reacted when Cadno told them about Steve;
"I thought you could help"
“I know you’re close to Ffion and Rhys, and thought you could help.”
Gaynor decides that she will have a word with Ffion,
"No, don't talk to Ffion!"
but he is adamant he does not want her to do that, only to keep an eye on things, which Gaynor finds rather strange.
"Ffion will go mad!"
“Ffion will go mad!” he wails to Izzy, who is afraid that her mother will be informed about them;  she impatiently propels him towards the door.
Abject apologies to Eirwen
Gwyneth expresses her apologies to Eirwen as she leaves, and Cassie comes downstairs;
There is no sign of Gwern . . .
when Gwyneth goes into the kitchen, there is no sign of Gwern, so she checks the rest of the house, without success, and begins to panic.
. . . inside or out
She discovers he is not in the back garden, either.
Gaynor goes to see Ffion
At school, Gaynor wants a word with Ffion;  “This is a bit awkward – how are things with Rhys?   Are you serious, then?”
"This doesn't involve you"
Ffion considers this is not the place to talk about it, and in any case, it does not involve Gaynor.
"It does if it affects a pupil"
“It does involve me if it affects a pupil,” she replies, “I heard you intend to tell Arwen about this relationship.”   Ffion realises she has been speaking to Eifion, but is told that it does not matter where the information came from.
"He had no right!"
Ffion exclaims, “It matters to me – he had no right!   For your information, Arwen comes first – and will always come first.”   Gaynor points out that she is worried, as she has a responsibility for every pupil in her care.   “Well, don’t worry about Arwen,” Ffion tells her.
Gaynor does not disguise her disgust at the relationship
“You need to think carefully about what you’re doing here,” Gaynor insists, and when Ffion answers that she is not doing anything,
"Apart from living with your step-son!"
goes on, very pointedly, “Apart from living with your step-son!”
"You should concentrate on what's going on under your nose!"
Ffion advises her, “Perhaps you should concentrate on what’s going on under your nose instead of interfering in my life,” but she will not elaborate.   As Gaynor is leaving the room, she queries whether the relationship is worth it.
Cassie is out, searching for Gwern . . .
Cassie and Gwyneth have been searching around the village, but without any success;
. . . but neither she or Gwyneth have located him
Cassie proposes to go to the Deri to ask for some help looking for him, but Gwyneth forbids this, as she does not want Garry to know that he is missing.
"Garry won't let me see him again!"
“He won’t let me see him again – and that’s what I deserve!” she wails.
Cassie urges her to pull herself together;  “You’re no good if you’re panicking!   Have you looked by the chapel?”   They head in that direction.
Kelly is ready to move out
At Y Felin, the moving process is in operation, and Iolo takes out the last of the luggage;  “Are you sure about this?” Anita demands.
"I'm looking forward to going home"
Kelly says she is looking forward to going home, but once more this is contested by Anita;
"I don't think you're ready, Kelly"
 “I know you, Kelly – I don’t think you’re ready.”
Kelly really appreciates what she and Siôn have done;  “But it’s time to move back now.”
Anita hugs Kelly, before she goes
Anita reluctantly accepts this, and gives Kelly a hug.
"Look – my phone battery is dead!"
Cassie and Gwyneth return to the house and conclude that they will have to phone the police;  it is discovered that Gwyneth’s phone battery is dead,
"Here – use mine instead!"
and she is about to use Cassie’s when there is a knock at the door.
Gwern has been found, loitering at school
Gaynor has brought home Gwern, who was found by the caretaker at school, outside the gym.   She did try to phone.
Gwyneth wants to know why he was at school, and Gaynor replies, “It seems that Gwern doesn’t want to stay at home, if Auntie Cassie is moving to the salon.   Gwyneth is devastated that he only wanted to stay in the house because Cassie was there.
"Can you live with us, Auntie Cassie?"
“Can you live with us?” Gwern asks Cassie, “There’s plenty of room.”
"You can visit me every day, if you want"
She tells him that he can come and visit her in the flat every day, if he wants.   “But you’ll be too busy, like Mam!” he says,
Gwern has developed an affection for Cassie
and cuddles Auntie Cassie.
Gaynor enquires if he misses his school friends;
"Mr Hughes, sport, is missing you"
“Mr Hughes, sport, is missing you.”   She recommends to Gwyneth that he should be allowed to come back to school until the end of term – there are only a few weeks left,
"It will give you time to think about what you want to do"
and it will give her time to think about what she wants to do with his education.
Gwyneth, feeling well and truly humiliated, asks Gwern if he wants to go back to school,
Of course, Gwern does want to go back to school
and he confirms that he does, so she has no choice but to agree to the idea.
Kelly returns to the café flat
Kelly arrives in the café flat, as Iolo and Tyler bring in her belongings;
"Is this the first time you've been back?"
“Is this is the first time you’ve been here since . . ?” Iolo asks,
"Ah – this is cute!"
and finds the white babygro garment for the baby, describing it as, “Cute!”
"Ed chose them!"
She whimpers, “Ed chose them,”
"Iolo, I can't do it!'
then sobs, “Iolo, I can’t do it!”
Ffion is not happy with Eifion
In the Deri, Eifion wears a troubled frown when Ffion comes in, looking very determined;  “Sorry, Ffion,” he says, “Gaynor came home and I needed a reason for being there.”
"You decided to drop me in it?"
“And you decided to drop me in it?” she growls;
"There's no hope for us now"
he wonders if she told Gaynor about him and Izzy, concluding that there is no hope for them now.
"Stay out of my business from now on, all right?"
She reveals that unfortunately, she did not get the chance to tell Gaynor, but solemnly warns him, “Stay out my business from now on, Eifion, all right?”
"Don't worry – we're safe!"
As she leaves, Izzy enters, worried that her mother has been told, but he reassures them that they are safe;
"There is no 'we', Eifion!"
“There is no ‘we’, Eifion!” she tells him
He looks rather disheartened
and walks away.
"I told you so, Kelly!'
Kelly is escorted back to Y Felin, with Anita still going on about having told Kelly it was too early.
Tyler presumes that they were too many memories in the flat.
"I'm never going to be ready"
Kelly sadly admits, “You were right – I wasn’t ready, and I’m never going to be ready!”
"You'll know when the time is right"
Anita consoles her that she will know when the time is right.
"I'm never going to be able to live by myself with a baby!"
“I’m never going to be able to live by myself with a baby,” she sobs, “Auntie Anita,
"I'm so scared!'
“I’m so scared.”
Anita tries to console her
Anita comforts her
Iolo and Tyler look at each other
while Iolo and Tyler look at each other.
"A face like an angel, but sly, like every other child"
Cassie brings Gwyneth a cup of tea, to get over the shock;  “A face like an angel, but sly, just like every other child,” Cassie remarks,
"He's too much like his father!"
and Gwyneth says that he is too much like his father.
Gwern is all ready for school tomorrow
Gwern’s school bag has been packed ready for tomorrow, but he is still anxious for Cassie to live there.
"Aren't you lonely?"
“Aren’t you lonely?” he asks, and Gwyneth points out that it could work, and she would be happy to have Cassie there –
"It could work – and your rent would be less"
the rent would be less than in the flat.
Gwern offers to make allowances for her
“I won’t ask you to write stories if you don’t want to,” Gwern assures her.
Cassie insists that she needs some peace and quiet to work, but Gwern begs, “Please, Auntie Cass?”   Gwyneth predicts that she would make him a very happy boy,
Cassie agrees to a trial period
and she finally agrees to give it a go, but only on a temporary basis.
Cassie tells him, “Education at school, and fun at home.   One more condition – that I get a hug from you every morning – and I want one now.”
Gwern is only too pleased to give her a hug
Gwern duly obliges.
"You know we said we'd be there for Kelly?"
Iolo and Tyler sit at home;  Iolo suggests, “Ty, you know we said last week we’d be there for Kelly?
"All the time – 24-7!"
“I think we should be there for her all the time – every day, every night, 24 hours.”
"She would have to live with us"
Tyler points out that would mean she would have to live with them.   Iolo goes on, “You saw the state she was in earlier – she’ll never be able to raise a child on her own.   I think she should come and live with us – think about it.
"Wouldn't it be nice to have a baby in the house again?"
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a baby in the house again?”
Tyler is doubtful
Tyler is not sure if this is the way to go about it,
"We spoke before about raising a child with Kelly"
but Iolo reminds him they have spoken before about raising a child with Kelly;  Tyler still has reservations.
