Siôn is composing a Welsh poem for the occasion . . .
In the café flat, Siôn is composing a poem for Ed, but Anita looks rather disappointed at her phone;
. . . but Anita fears a shortage of red wine
she does not have time now to look at the poem, as the hen night is about to start, and she has been told that they are going to run out of red wine.
"Perhaps we should have had the party in the Deri"
“I’m sure I told Jaclyn to add it to the order – perhaps we should have had the party in the Deri after all.”
"It wouldn't be half so nice at the Deri!"
Kelly has just come in, and points out that it would not have been half as nice at the Deri;  “Auntie Neet, I do appreciate everything you’ve done for me – especially because Mam couldn’t be bothered to turn up!”
"Your Mam is the one missing out"
Anita replies that she is the one missing out, watching the loveliest woman in the world marrying the man she loves.
"Someone was hogging the bathroom"
Ed complains that he has not had a shower yet, as someone was hogging the bathroom;  Kelly kisses him, and goes, with Anita, to the hen night.
Ffion is ready for some action
Ffion, dressed in a vivid pink top, walks along the street
"I'm training for the 'Heart Race'"
and informs Iolo that she is having a training session with Rhys for the ‘Heart Race’.   Iolo warns Rhys not to work out too hard, as he has a party later.
"I like those leggings"
Rhys admires Ffion’s leggings,
And Gaynor makes three
and then Gaynor joins them, which does not please Ffion.   “I thought it would be fun if you trained together,” Rhys suggests,
"Some competition will do me good"
and Ffion maintains that some competition will do her good.   They begin the warming up procedure.
Kelly is highly impressed
Kelly is very impressed by the way Tapas has been prepared for the hen party; “It’s beautiful – much better than the Deri!”   Anita wanted the place to look special, for her special niece,
Dean is chcking the microphones
and asks Dean to check the microphones for her.
"Hot or what?"
Kelly whispers, “Hot or what?” and is reprimanded by Anita, who has a present for her.
Great Grand-mother Gwalchmai's wedding ring
“I don’t know if you want it, but it’s Great-grandmother Gwalchmai’s wedding ring,” she says,
"It must have too many memories!"
but Kelly replies that it must have too many memories.   “I want you to have it – you don’t have to wear it as a wedding ring,” Anita continues.
Kelly is overcome with emotion;  “This is really special!”
"You're like a daughter to me, Kelly!"
Her aunt knows that she is upset because her mother is not coming, and stresses that Kelly is like a daughter to her.   She is sure that Meic would be more than happy if Kelly wore it.
For once, Kelly is speechless
Kelly is speechless, and gives Anita a hug.
Gaynor swerves to avoid Llinos
Gaynor and Ffion race round the corner by Bethania,
Ffion is jubilant
and are congratulated by Rhys, who warns Gaynor not to argue with the trainer,
"Or you'll have to do ten press-ups"
or she will have to do ten press-ups.
Ffion is pleased to see Sara back
Then they see Sara, and Ffion is pleased that she is back;  they will see her later at the hen party.   Sara is apprehensive;  “I don’t feel like going out – people are bound to ask where I’ve been.”
"I've just been knocking at your door"
Eifion comes across the road, complaining that he has just been knocking at their door, and Jason explains that they have moved out and are now staying with his mother.   Sara points out that Gwyneth is being awkward again.
"I'll be there at the stag night"
Jason will see him later at Ed’s stag night.
"It doesn't matter what other people think"
“Just as long as we understand each other, it doesn’t matter what other people think,” Jason tells Sara, and they embrace.
Siôn needs some last-minute tuition
At number 7, Siôn is studying a book, ‘Poker for Dummies’, when Jason arrives, and is welcomed by Ed and Eifion;
"Still time to run away if you change your mind!"
Jason tells Ed that there is still time to run away if he changes his mind.   Iolo reports that Tyler has taken Greta away for the night, so they can enjoy themselves.
Ed is given a parcel . . .
A small parcel has arrived for Ed, which he looks at with anxiety;
. . . which contains pink fluffy handcuffs
inside he finds a pair of pink fluffy handcuffs, which make them all smile.   Iolo stresses that he did not send them, and assumes that it must have been sent by Kelly;
"Now you know what she expects on her wedding night!"
“At least you know what she expects on her wedding night now!”
The athletes cool down after their session
Ffion and Gaynor are now cooling down after their exercise session,
"I thought you were more flexible than that!"
and Rhys thought that Ffion was more flexible.   They are standing in front of some of the posters,
"I thought you were going to be on them"
and Ffion was under the impression that Rhys should have been on them.
"I don't want any flak from Kelly"
He calls it a day, as he does not want any flak from Kelly for making them late for the party.   Gaynor says that she quite enjoyed the session, and Ffion complains that the trainer was rather cheeky.
He obviously liks the look of Ffion (and he is not the only one) . . .
He watches Ffion walking up the street with obvious admiration,
. . . but she has left her jacket behind
then finds she has left her jacket behind.
"No, I'll just watch, boys"
At number 7, they prepare to start the game of poker, but Jason is quite adamant that he will sit and watch;  Eifion thinks that he is scared of the opposition,
"This one's an experienced player!"
but Ed calls him an experienced player, as was proved at one of Garry’s games.
Siôn admits that he is not a poker player, so will be just hoping for the best;
"He can always start stripping!"
“If you lose your money, you can always start stripping!” suggests Eifion,
"A lot of women would pay good money to see that!"
but Siôn maintains that a lot of women would pay good money to see him strip, a comment that causes Iolo to raise his eyebrows.
The mocking messages continue . . .
Ed receives a message on his phone;  together with a photo of the handcuffs are the words, “Looking forward to the St David’s wedding.
. . . one after the other . . .
This is quickly followed by two more messages;  “You’ll need these on Monday,” and, “Have you missed me?”
. . . which Ed finds very disturbing
Eifion comments that he is very popular all of a sudden, and Ed looks extremely disturbed.
"Ooh – he's dishy!"
At Tapas, the party guests are being entertained by Dean, who is preparing cocktails;  Sara asks, “Where have you been hiding him?   I haven’t seen him before,” and Kelly describes him as ‘dishy’.   Anita reminds her she is getting married on Monday.
"If I have my wicked way with him!"
“Well, maybe I won’t – if I have my wicked way with him!” Kelly jokes, and is glad that Sara is back in time for the party.   Sara says she and Jason are keeping their options for living accommodation open at the moment.
"You look fantastic, Ffion"
Ffion and Gaynor arrive, and Anita remarks that Ffion looks fantastic;  “That training session must be doing you some good.”   They all agree that Anita has done a wonderful job with the venue.
Dean has prepared personality cocktails
“Right then, girls, I want you to meet Dean,” she says, “Who has prepared a special cocktail for each of you, according to your personality.
"Ffion – fit and fruity!"
For Ffion, a mix of exotic fruit juices – fit and fruity!”
Ffion queries whether she means fit, as in exercise;  “Or fit, like Dean over here?”
"Sara, the fiery woman!"
Then there is one for Sara, the fiery woman,
"Black and white for a classy lady"
black and white for classy lady, Gaynor,
"Sugar and spice" for these two extras
followed by ‘sugar’ and ‘spice’ for the two unknown girls at the table.
“And finally,” Anita announces, “The bride!”
"Kelly lights up all our lives!"
Dean brings in a concoction of Grand Marnier, vodka and fizz, complete with a sparkler;  “Because she lights up all our lives!   And a margarita for Anita.”   They all drink a toast to Kelly.
Jason tries to ignore the game
The game of poker is continuing at number 7,
Siôn is already out of the game
and Siôn is forced to drop out;  they can see that he is not a natural gambler.
Jason looks uncomfortable
Jason is looking uncomfortable as he watches them, and Ed is not taking any notice of the proceedings, being lost in his own world.
"Are you sure you don't want to join in?"
Eifion asks, “Are you sure you don’t want to join in, Jason?” but he is determined not to get involved.   Iolo wants to beat Eifion.
"This Tapas is 'Orgasmic'!"
At the hen night, Kelly describes the Tapas as, “Orgasmic!” and Sara is afraid she will put on weight.
Ffion points out that at least someone sees Sara’s body;
"I'll never find anyone!"
“I’ll never find anyone!”   Kelly is of the opinion that any man would jump at the chance,
"I prefer a good book and a glass of wine"
but Gaynor, rather despondently, says that she is used to being on her own, preferring a good book and a glass of wine – or her trumpet, of course.
"Are you all right, Jason?"
Sara’s phone sounds, and she asks Jason if he is all right;  “They’re playing poker!” he complains,
"I'm not playing – and I don't want to"
“I’m not playing – and I don’t want to either – I just wanted to hear your voice,
"To remind myself why I'm doing this|
“to remind myself why I’m doing this.”   Sara is very proud of him.
Why are you hiding in here?"
Then Ed comes into the kitchen, and asks why Jason is hiding – something which he denies.
Rhys arrives at the hen party
The ladies at the hen party are surprised when Rhys comes in;  his excuse is that he has brought back Ffion’s jacket.
"No men allowed – apart from Dean!"
Kelly insists that no men are allowed;  “Apart from Dean, all right?”
Ffion says he could have given the jacket back to her in the morning at their session,
"Don't enjoy yourselves too much!"
and he tells them not to enjoy themselves too much as he leaves.   Kelly remarks, “I wouldn’t mind a personal trainer like him!”
"All the women go to him – Debbie, and even Kath!"
and Anita says that all the women go to him – there is Debbie, and even Kath.
Sara would not say no, as he is a bit gorgeous;  “There’s nothing wrong with having a younger boyfriend,” Anita argues,
"He's not that young"
and Ffion maintains that he is not that young.
"Are you sure there's not a double meaning here?"
Kelly suggests, “Are you sure there isn’t a double meaning to this ‘Heart Race’?   He looks like a real heart-breaker.”
"That Kelly is a woman and a half!"
Rhys joins the stag party and reports that he enjoyed himself during the session with Gaynor and Ffion;  he tells Ed that Kelly is a woman and a half.   “I like women who are straight with you,” Rhys goes on, “Makes your life a lot easier.”
"Has your father heard from Angela?"
Eifion wonders if his father has heard from Angela;
"No, thank goodness!"
“No, thank goodness!” he replies.
"Strange that someone should disappear like that"
Siôn considers it strange that someone should just disappear like that, as the police still do not know where she is.
Ed is becoming neurotic
Meanwhile, Ed is looking increasingly uncomfortable.
Iolo comments, “We ought to feel sorry for her – losing a child must have affected her,” but Eifion insists that she was lying long before that, and points out that she lied to Ed, deceived him, pretending she was pregnant.
"Ed doesn't want to talk about Angela on his stag night!"
“Come on, boys – Ed doesn’t want to talk about Angela on his stag night!” Iolo scolds them.   Jason brings in some shots,
Ed tries to look something approaching happy
and Ed tries to look happy as he drinks his.
All – except Ffion – are getting drunk
At Tapas, the girls are getting stuck into drinking, all except Ffion of course, and Anita decides that it is time for karaoke, asking Dean to switch on the microphones.
The Karaoke session begins
Kelly, Gaynor and Anita begin singing ‘When Life Turns Bitter’.
Your life is blessed, and you are happy with your world,
But there’s something in the back of your mind that keeps on worrying you,
You fall into the trap without knowing what’s what,
Theres nothing left but a foolish idea, everything will fall back into place.
When life turns bitter, the wine turns sour
The smile turns to tears, the thrill turns to pain.
"Not sure what state Gaynor will be in tomorrow morning"
Ffion says she is not sure what state Gaynor will be in tomorrow, and Sara suspects that she will have an individual session with Rhys in the morning.
“Today was challenging enough!” Ffion replies, “He is kind, bless him.”   Sara predicts that he will make somebody a lovely boyfriend,
"I hope he treats women better than his father!"
but Ffion says, “I just hope he treats women better than his father!”
"It's hard, pretending everything's all right"
At number 7, Ed catches Jason sending a text to Sara;  “It’s hard sometimes, pretending everything’s all right,” Jason groans, and Ed misinterprets what he said.
"Sara and me – she's back for good now"
“Sara and me,” Jason goes on, “Anyway, she’s back for good now, thank goodness.”
Iolo announces, “This isn’t my idea but, Ed, Dad’s got something for you.”
Siôn prepares to read his metrical masterpiece
Siôn gets out his poem, and appears rather unsteady on his feet as he prepares to read it.
“Our Patron Saint’s day, it’s easy to remember
Dewi’s message is still clear;
The small things, his message of love was so clear.
But another day claims your attention –
Two come together on a cloudless day,
On your wedding day – and after that
Don’t forget Dewi’s message.”
The name of Dewi strikes fear into Ed's heart . . .
The name of Dewi brings back memories for Ed;
. . . and this is reinforced by yet another message
then his phone sounds, and there is a another message, “Looking forward to the wedding.   St David xx.”   Ed looks terror-stricken, get up and rushes out of the house.
"I've never had someone react like that before!"
“I’ve never had someone react to my poetry like that before!” exclaims Siôn, and Eifion says that Ed had a strange expression on his face.
"He was accused of killing a bloke called Dewi!"
Iolo reminds them that he was accused of killing a bloke called Dewi,
"I'd better go after him"
and Siôn, feeling rather guilty, wants to go after him, but is dissuaded by Iolo, as it is obvious that Ed wants to be on his own.
Kelly has difficulty in pronouncing the word 'prosecco'
At the hen party, dancing is now going on, and Kelly, already intoxicated, asks Dean for more prosecco.
"Would Mam approve of Ed?"
As Anita invites her to dance, she wonders if her mother would approve of Ed.   They all assure her that they make a lovely couple, and Ed is a good man.
"Sometimes I don't think I deserve him"
“All my life I’ve been waiting for someone like Ed,” says Kelly, “He’s kind, he’s honest – sometimes I don’t think I deserve him.   He’s been through tough times with Dewi and Sioned, but he’s incredible!”
There is a group hug
Anita reminds Kelly that she has been there for him too, and she goes on, “I do feel like I’ve met my Prince Charming – we’re going to live happily ever after!”   They all indulge in a group hug.
Ed is in a state of total panic . . .
Meanwhile, Ed has rushed back to the cafe flat in a state of blind panic,
. . . but the accusations keep coming
and as he looks down with dread at his phone, more messages appear, branding him, “MURDERER!   MURDERER!”
He picks up the rolling pin . . .
In desperation he picks up the wooden rolling pin
. . . and smashes it repeatedly on the phone
and smashes it down, again and again, on the phone;
He is quite hysterical
he is terrified.
