Now Debbie is into running . . . |
. . . which Garry finds amusing |
"I get a cold every end of term!" |
"Your scarf, madam" |
"What are you doing, Ed?" |
"I'm obviously getting on your nerves" |
"I thought the problem would go away, too" |
"Is that all I am – a servant?" |
“Right, that’s all I am – a servant to help you out in the café,” he snarls, “Sorry, Kel, but there’s only so much I can take – I’ve tried to say sorry!” As she shouts at him to persuade him to stay,
Garry comes up the stairs to point out that no-one is serving downstairs. Kelly promises that she will be down now.
"Er – nobody is serving downstairs" |
"How much do you think he heard?" |
"Stay a couple more days, Ed!" |
He takes his bag back to the spare room |
"It doesn't feel right, jumping the queue" |
"You should get it out of the way before summer" |
Rhys appreciates that the health system is under strain,
and his father remarks, “Like my knee! Do you know what, Rhys? Don’t get old,” he says, as Rhys is leaving for a jog.
"Don't get old, Rhys!" |
"I've booked you a driving lesson" |
"Remember, we've got a deal" |
"I've got to pass first!" |
"We're so proud of you, Ricky . . ." |
". . . aren't we, Madge?" |
"That boy's got plenty in his head" |
"You must be used to lovers' tiffs" |
"I've had my share – but this is none of my business" |
"You were talking about my knee, weren't you?" |
"No, about you finding 'your Dani'!" |
Kelly is seized by a coughing fit |
"Ffion says it always happens at the end of term" |
"More like crowd control these days" |
Garry suggests that she should take it up with the governors, of whom he is one;
Hywel adds, “If you and Ed have children, and you need a favour at the school, Garry is the one to speak to.” Kelly replies that there is plenty of time for that.
"If you need a favour, Garry is the one to speak to" |
“Do you think that Ffion would appreciate a visitor, with a bunch of grapes in his hand?”
Hywel wonders, and Garry laughs, muttering that is is easy to rekindle an old flame.
"Rekindling the old flame!" |
Rhys finds it impossible to keep away . . . |
. . . and is not put off by her cold |
"I'm a mess!" |
Now Rhys' father is also after Ffion! |
He offers to look after Arwen for her |
"It will give you a chance to rest" |
Ffion is left, temporarily, in peace |
"I'm trying to be healthy" |
"I hope no-one else does it, or I'll have to close the café" |
"She used jogging to cover up her affair" |
"I haven't the energy to hide anything from Mark!" |
Kelly suddenly drops everything and goes upstairs |
Gwen wonders what is going on |
"I'm all right, Debs, honest" |
"Has Ed upset you?" |
"Look what he did to Mark!" |
"I have explained" |
"I'll go and look after the café" |
It is time for the girls' pizza |
"We can make a pizza next time" |
He takes a selfie of them . . . |
. . . and sends it to Ffion |
She is hitting the Lemsip . . . |
. . . and only glances at her phone . . . |
. . . on the way to answer the door |
Rhys is here to take advantage of her |
“Oh yeah – still in the dressing gown, then,” he grins, “I think it’s sexy!” She is of the opinion that he should go, expecting that Hywel will be back any minute,
but Rhys enlightens her, “They haven’t had their dinner yet – so there’s no need for us to worry.”
He begins by removing her dressing gown.
"They haven't had their dinner yet" |
Rhys starts undressing Ffion |
"Is there any chance of a discount?" |
"Oh, great, thank you!" |
"The Deri would still be cheaper" |
“The Glyndwr will be special, and Debs deserves a treat,” Mark declares,
“I’m looking forward to it, Saturday 29 May – Deb’s party – it will be great night!”
They are looking forward to 29 May |
"I'm off to meet Rhys" |
"My best ever time for 5k!" |
Something is going on which she does not know about |
"Hywel will be here any minute!" |
Rhys hurries off to hide |
"I think it may be tonsillitis!" |
"Right, there's Arwen's bag – we had better go" |
"Go and clean your teeth before bed" |
"You can go too!" |
"I need tips on how to look after you" |
An enigmatic phone call |
"It's not safe for me to talk here" |
Ed looks somewhat preoccupied |
"You're not going to find the answer in the bottom of that!" |
"It will be the best time of your life" |
"You liked your Sport Science course, didn't you?" |
"Having cold feet about doing Law?" |
"I'm only now thinking about it seriously" |
"We can't carry on like this, Kel" |
"The only way is for me to be punished!" |
Kelly is aghast |
"Hit me as hard as you can!" |
"I'm not bulimic – I'm pregnant!" |
"What?" |
"I'm really sorry – I know I should have told you!" |
"You're expecting my child!" |
"We're going to be OK, Kel!" |
They are both happy – at last |
Hywel makes his way downstairs . . . |
. . . and is cheered by a text |
"You're acting like a teenager – Cassie, was it?" |
Rhys thinks that he is looking guilty and asks what he is hiding; “You’re acting like a teenager – a text from Cassie, was it?” He is told to mind his own business,
but Hywel looks again at the message,
and appears to be showing signs of renewed hope.
He looks again at the message |
"Perhaps there is hope for me, after all!" |
