Gwyneth runs after Garry
As Garry hurries down the street, Gwyneth runs after him and demands if he is going to find the money;  he snarls at her, “Be quiet!   I’m going to sort it out –
"You're going to pay every penny back!"
“but you’re going to pay every penny back, do you hear me?   And I’m delivering it to Jessie!”
"Please, Garry no!"
“Please, Garry, no!” she shouts, “I’m worried how she’ll react – it could put Gwern in danger!”
"After the mess you've made!"
He turns and growls angrily, “Do you really think I’m going to let you handle this – after the mess you’ve made?   I’m doing it my way!”
The argument continues into the Deri
As they enter the Deri, Gwyneth insists that she is coming with him;
They tell Dani that Gwern is ill
Dani asks if everything is all right, and they spin her some tale about Gwern being ill;
"I'm going to get him from school now"
“He’s at school – I’m going to get him now,” says Gwyneth,
"He is going to be OK, isn't he?"
then she begs Garry, “He is going to be OK, isn’t he?”
Garry looks malevolently at her, and barks,
"He had better be – or your life won't be worth living!"
“He had better be – or your life won’t be worth living!”
"What do you think you're doing?"
As Sara comes out of the door of Tomos ac Ellis, Jason is approaching and asks what she is doing;  “What do you think I’m doing?” she replies rather abruptly, “I’m looking for somewhere to rent.”
"So you are leaving me!"
He realises that this is confirmation she is leaving him, but she explains that she is not leaving;  “We need a break from each other, that’s all.”
"Don't try to tell me what I need!"
“Don’t try to tell me what I need!” he protests, and she hopes that the trip tomorrow will take his mind off things.   He maintains that he is not going on the trip,
"Don't be stupid, Jason – go on the trip"
but she tells him not to be stupid and to go.
"You just want me out of the way!"
“You just want me out of the way,” he accuses her;  she denies this but does think they should stop texting each other.   Jason cannot believe she is serious, but she assures him it is for the best.  “Righto, great!” he groans and walks away.
"Are you all right, Sara?"
Kelly, who has been watching, emerges from the café and asks if Sara is all right, shepherding her inside.   Meanwhile DJ wants to know from Jason what time the bus is leaving tomorrow.
"I don't know, DJ – I'm not going, all right?"
“I don’t know, DJ – I’m not going, all right?” and he simply walks off through the alley.
"What if she's done something to him?"
Up in the Deri flat, Gwyneth is wailing, “What if she’s done something to him?   He might be hurt!”   Garry urges her to keep her cool or she will make things worse – and that is exactly what Jessie wants – for them to panic.
"I've got the money"
Gwyneth’s phone rings;  “I’ve got the money,” she says;
Jessie is at her waterside property
Jessie is speaking from her garden, alongside a marina, and remarks that she is impressed.
Gwyneth announces that Gwern’s father, Garry Monk, will be coming with her, and will hand over the money.
"That wasn't part of the plan, Gwyneth!"
“That wasn’t part of the plan, Gwyneth,” Jessie tells her, and abruptly terminates the call;
"I knew this was a mistake!"
 Gwyneth shouts at Garry that she knew this was a mistake, but he is confident that she will ring back.
“Now slow down,” he says, and meanwhile,
"I want some information on Garry Monk"
Jessie is making another phone call,  asking someone for information on Garry Monk – everything that she needs to know.
Gwern waves from upstairs
Gwern waves to her from an upstairs window.
"I know she says it's just a break, but . . ."
As they walk along the back street, Jason tells DJ, “I know she says it’s just a break, but this is different – the look in her eyes is different –
"She won't even look at me any more"
“she won’t even look at me any more.”   DJ does not know what to say, but is warned not to tell his mother, or Dai.
"You've been through too much for it to end like this"
“You’ve been through too much to end it like this – you love each other!” DJ goes on, but Jason reminds him he is the one who usually says he is not good enough for her, and does not want him to pretend to care now.
“I feel sorry for her – and little Ifan too, but it doesn’t mean I want you to break up,” DJ points out,
"I'll do everything I can to get you back together"
and vows that he will do everything he can to get them back together.   Jason remains unconvinced.
"It's typical that Jason was there!"
Up in the café flat, Sara laments, “It’s typical that Jason was there when I left Tomos ac Ellis!”   Kelly wonders why he was surprised, as she needs to find somewhere else;  “He thought I’d change my mind and move back home,” Sara continues,
"Classic man – never listens to what the woman wants!"
and Kelly describes him as a classic man, who never listens to what the woman wants.
"But am I making a mistake, Kel?"
Sara now is worried that she is making a mistake, but is reassured by Kelly, “You did what you thought was right.”   Sara doubts if they have a future.
"You need time to process things"
Kelly summarises the situation, “One minute you say you shouldn’t have left, and the next minute you say you haven’t got a future.   No-one expects you to know what you want right now – you need time to process things.”
"I don't know what's going to happen"
Sara admits she is struggling with not knowing what is going to happen;
"Because you're a control freak!"
“Yes, because you’re a control freak!” smiles Kelly, “But you have to slow down – and you need time, like I said – then things will be clearer, I promise.   I’m really sorry, but I have to get back to the café – its busy down there today.
"You can have some sarnies on the house!"
“If you’re peckish, come down – you can have some sarnies on the house!”
"I should never have listened to you!"
Garry makes a cup of tea, but Gwyneth does not want one;  “I should never have listened to you – she’ll think we’ve got some sort of plan.”
"She's doing background checks, and will phone back"
Garry calmly informs her that Jessie is doing background checks, and then she will phone back.
Right on time, she does
Sure enough, at that moment the phone rings again, and this time Garry answers it;  “Garry Monk – I know who you are now,” says Jessie.
"I've got the money – where and when?"
He simply advises her that he has the money and wants to know when and where.
"You don't waste any time, do you?"
“You don’t waste any time, do you?” she remarks, and he angrily replies that he does not when someone is threatening his son.
"Penberllan car park – two o'clock"
“Penberllan car park – two o’clock,” he is told,
"Don't try any nonsense!"
“Don’t try any nonsense or I’ll have no choice got to hurt him!”
Garry will not say anything
Garry will not divulge any information to Gwyneth about where they are going,
"Talk to me, please, Garry!"
and she rages, “Talk to me, please!”
"Because of you, my son's with drug dealers!"
He makes it quite clear, “Because of you, my son’s with drug dealers – you have no right asking anything from me, understand?”
Dylan pays Kelly in the café . . .
In the café, Kelly serves Dylan with one double espresso and one water;
. . . and goes over to Sara's table
he goes over to the table where Sara is sitting with her head in her hands.   “Don’t you believe in answering your phone any more?” he asks her, “We’re supposed to be having a planning meeting at Tapas.”
Kelly is keeping them under surveillance
Kelly is watching carefully as Sara explains that she had forgotten;  “I’ve had a strange week – a lot going on at home.
"Ifan and I have moved out of Bryntirion"
“Ifan and I have moved out of Bryntirion.”   Dylan was hopeful that she would work things out, and she thinks that they may in time,
"For now we're staying with Kelly"
but for now they are staying with Kelly, until they find a place of their own.
"If you ever need a man's perspective, Sara . . ."
He appreciates that breaking up, even temporarily, is difficult, and he volunteers that if she needs a man’s perspective, he is willing to help.
"Don't worry about work, OK?"
“Don’t worry about work, OK?” he says, and goes to sit on one of the sofas by the window.
"Someone's sniffing around already!"
Kelly comes over and comments to Sara, “Someone’s sniffing around already!   I’m sure he’s chuffed to bits!”
"Oh – I've hit a nerve there!"
but she is reprimanded by Sara.
Dylan fancies his chances here
Dylan cannot help glancing across at her.
As they wait, Gwyneth is becoming anxious
Waiting in the car at the prearranged place, Gwyneth is becoming anxious, because Jessie is one minute late, and wonders if they have the right place.
"I shouldn't have mentioned you"
“I shouldn’t have mentioned you – she’s probably found something out!” Gwyneth goes on,
"Shut up, Gwyneth!"
and he tells her to shut up.
Jessie approaches, alone
Then they notice her approaching, but Gwern is not with her;
"Where's Gwern?"
Garry gets out of the car, telling Gwyneth to stay where she is.   His first question to Jessie is, “Where’s Gwern?”
"Don't worry – he's safe"
and is told that he is safe.
"You're not getting a penny until I see Gwern!"
“You’re not getting a penny of this until I see Gwern,” he insists.
“You’re impatient, aren’t you?” she smiles,
"This is her fault for cutting the drugs"
“There’s no point being angry with me – all this is her fault for cutting the drugs – it’s only fair that I get compensation.”   Meanwhile, Gwyneth is becoming even more anxious.
Again, Garry demands the location of Gwern, and Jessie remarks, “They said you have a temper – now, give that to me so that I can count it.   I don’t want to find that I’m £10 short when I get home.”
"Yes, you can count it"
He confirms that she can count it, but she is not going to get it until he gets Gwern.
"You really ought to come on the trip, Jase"
At Bryntirion, DJ really thinks that Jason should come on the trip tomorrow, but he is dead against it.   “It will do you good to get away from the valley!” DJ urges,
"What would do me good is to patch up things with Sara"
Jason is of the opinion that what would do him good is to stay there and patch things up with Sara.
"What do you think would make Sara happy?"
DJ asks him, “Look, I know you want to save your marriage, but what do you think would make Sara happy?   You moping around here – or you respecting her, and giving her space?”
"Then she'll think I've given up!"
Jason stresses he does not want her to think he has given up, and DJ assures him that she will not;  “Come on the trip tomorrow, and show that you respect her, by knowing what she wants.”
"You may be right, DJ"
Jason acknowledges that he is right, and will tell Sara that he is going to leave her alone.   “There’s no need to tell her – just do it!” recommends DJ.
Jessie has counted the money
Jessie has counted the money and has found that it is all there;
"Gwern – now!"
“Gwern!” snarls Garry, “Now!”
She says that she has a question to ask him first;
"Would you do some dealing for me in Cwmderi?"
“Would you would like to do some dealing for me – in Cwmderi?”
For whatever reason, Gwyneth is recording this
Gwyneth is recording this encounter on her phone, as Garry laughs, and assumes that she is joking.
“You could make big money,” Jessie continues,
Garry will not entertain her offer
and when told that his answer is no, she adds, “I regret bothering with Cwmderi, anyway – you’re too much of a coward, and she’s an amateur!”
She makes a quick call . . .
She makes a phone call, saying, “Bring him over!”
. . . and a large black car arrives, circling them
and a large black car arrives, driven by a man with a beard,
Gwyneth is still capturing the events
while Gwyneth is videoing this on her phone.
The car is about to stop
The car stops by a large pile of rubbish.   Gwyneth gets out of Garry’s car,
"The rat has come out of its cage!"
and Jessie comments, “Here she is – the rat has come out of its cage!”
Gwyneth looks as if she is about to attack Jessie,
Garry restrains Gwyneth
but is restrained by Garry;  “What if Garry had to choose between you and Gwern?” Jessie enquires, “Who would he choose?”
Garry says that is enough;  “You’ve got what you want,” and Jessie maintains that she was just testing, to make Gwyneth sweat for a minute.
Jessis removes her black wig . . .
Then Jesse removes her black wig, walks over to the black car,
. . . and fetches the waiting Gwern
where Gwern is sitting, and escorts him back to his parents;
"Just like I said, Mami's as good as new!"
she tells him, “There, just like I said, Mami’s as good as new!”
Gwyneth embraces her son
Gwyneth gives him a hug, and Jessie is glad that everything has been sorted out.
"Is your leg better?"
Gwern asks if his mother’s leg is better, and is told that it is perfect.
Garry seems to think this business is not over
They watch as Jessie is driven away in the black car.
Jason has brought some of Ifan's toys
Jason has taken a couple of Ifan’s toys to Sara in the café flat;  he thought she would need them before long, and there are some of her clothes in the wash.
"I am going on the writing trip with Mam . . ."
“I am going on the writing trip with Mam,” he announces, “That’s what I wanted you to know.
". . . and I understand you have to move out of Bryntirion"
“And I wanted to say that I understand and accept that you have to move out of Bryntirion.”
Then Dylan arrives . . .
The sound of someone coming up the stairs can be heard, and we find that it is Dylan;  Jason takes his leave of them.
. . . with the offer of a home in Llanarthur
Dylan has brought something for her – the details of a house in Llanarthur.   “My friend Gwil owns the place – it’s empty and available if – you and Ifan can move in – if you want to.
"Do you like it?"
“Do you like it?”
"Not that it's any of your business"
“I do like it,” she answers, “Not that it’s any of your business.”
"I'm only trying to help, Sara"
He argues that he is trying to help, and points out that that she has enough on her plate with Ifan.   She wants to know why he is trying to help her, as he is Jason’s friend;
"Please don't stick your nose in!"
“Please, don’t stick your nose in!”
Garry has a glass of water
Back at number 9, Garry drinks a glass of water, and Gwyneth is pleased that Gwern seems to be all right.
"Cutting drugs and selling them on?"
Garry stares at her, incredulous;  “Cutting drugs and selling them on?   I thought dealing was bad enough, but messing with the stuff, Gwyn?”
She is still denying any involvement
She still denies that she did anything of the sort, but he does not believe that Jessie was lying;
"You can't tell the truth, can you – even now?"
“You can’t tell the truth, can you?   Even now – you’re not fit to be a mother!”
"Gwern will be coming with me tonight!"
She looks angry as he continues that Gwern will be coming with him tonight.
"Please don't take my son away!"
She begs him not to take her son away from her, but he leaves her in no doubt that she has gone too far this time;
"There's nothing you can do about it!"
“Gwern is going to the Deri – and there’s nothing you can do to change that!”
Gwyneth is very distressed
He walks out of the house, leaving Gwyneth in tears.
"Sorry, I should not have stuck my nose in"
Dylan admits he should not have stuck his nose in with the rental property, and expresses his sorrow;
"You're formidable – do you know that?"
“You’re formidable – do you know that?   But don’t worry, my skin is thick enough – if you ever want to shout or . . .
"Well – don't hit me!"
“well – don’t hit me!”
He moves in and kisses her
They are by now very close to each other and he moves in to kiss her,
"I think you'd better go!"
which, after a second or two, she regrets;  “I think you’d better go,” she tells him,
So he complies with her instruction . . .
but when he does so,
. . . and she seems disappointed
she looks rather disappointed.
